How to make lobby stretched slices

Postby anrox335 » 26 Oct 2025, 00:42

Hi,
I am unable to make stretched defensive slices on the run like the CPU here. Is there some special timing to press the shot button while running to get this? The CPU seems to be making these shots pretty often. As they are lobby, he gets the time to get back in position after the shot

Here are my attempts to do the same. Unlike CPU shots, these are not lobby.

Hello,

the slice will be slower (but also less accurate) if you start to press the button late.

So, for the stretched animation slices, I need to press the shot button late?

If you want to see the stretch animation, you have to be too far from the ball.

I am still not able to make these slices but the CPU regularly does. I feel my timing may be a bit off, but honestly, I don't know what the exact position is for this animation without a reference. In other games, this is an automatic shot if you are far away from the ball. Can you post some tutorials in the game, or some YouTube video or some instructions in the documentation for this?

Sorry, I don't have the time for that. Try in warm-up mode or against the Ball Thrower.

Just so we are on the same page, I was specifically talking about the shot hit by Medvedev in the following instances:

https://youtu.be/oWseyBCmhmo?si=9M5ksgeb-w0cg1Cx&t=70

My efforts to replicate this shot so far have been futile, even though I am playing at a Incredible difficulty level 5

To do that you need to arrive to the ball last second and tap slice button and aim kind of cross court, I do that shot all the time. But is a last second tap slice kind of shot. You can't do it "intentionally" it happens when you arrive last second to the ball only.

Are you able to get this exact same animation and lobbiness?

I guess my timing is off. Or maybe I am holding the button a little early, as this game requires us to press and hold a shot button, rather than just tap. I am only able to make flat, slow slices, which gives me no time to get back in position, and gives the CPU an easy winner

I mean the cpu is giving you an easy winner in both examples so.... idk. And yes, I do get the same lob like slice that is slow and kinda high and lands sorta deep, but is not like you can control it to go the same way everytime (as you saw in both examples you send, one gets lucky and goes deep and inside the court, and the other one goes long). That shot is a last resort kind of tool to use to go and guess to any side in the next shot anyways.
