Hi,

I've been playing around a bit with singles specialists and doubles specialists.

I know that if you create two players with identical stats and make one a singles specialist and the other a doubles specialist, the singles specialist will have higher stats. Is the game just programmed that way, or is it because the DoubleSpirit attribute affects doubles players, but not singles players?

Also, with doubles specialists, when you reduce the DoubleSpirit attribute, their other stats all rise slightly, which you would expect, as it's meant to make them slightly better singles players, but does that also mean that technically they are also better doubles players when you reduce the DoubleSpirit attribute? Or is there a hidden boost that they receive when DoubleSpirit is high?

Hello,

the higher the Doubles Spirit is, the more all other skills will get boosted during Doubles matches.

So if you give a low Doubles Spirit, the player will still be as good in Doubles, but he'll become better in Singles.

When you look at his Character Sheet (except right before a doubles match, if it works correctly), you see his Skills for singles matches.

I remember you saying that when a player retires, their BestRank and SingleDouble values are randomly assigned to one of the regens that year. Is their DoubleSpirit value tied in with that, or is it randomised along with all the other skills?

All generated doubles specialists should get a high Doubles Spirit (80+% and nearly 100% for doubles players who never play singles). If not, then there's an issue somewhere...
