Hi,
At the moment I'm testing out a few things and creating some data updates, but my intention is to play a World Tour mode starting from 2024 with the current generation and gradually having fictional players taking over. I'm planning to add a lot of extra current players from lower in the ranks to the Players.ini file, so that I have a starting pool in 2024 of somewhere between 1200 and 1500 players (which should then remain constant once players have started regenerating). I just have a couple of questions about this:
1) If I start in 2024, that's the last year that players will have a RankPerYear. So, in terms of juniors, as no player in the game will have a retirement date preset, will the game decide immediately which players will retire in each of the next four years, and then populate the juniors pool with their regens right from the start?
2) You mentioned this in another thread, but just want to make sure I've got it right. In any year, say 70 players are retiring, the BestRank values for each of them will be randomly assigned to the 70 players that are being regenerated, so the quality is random. The regen's career trajectory will then be based around the BestRank value that they received?
3) When it comes to the naming of regens, I can see first names and surnames for each different country in the PlayerNames file. Some of them have a number before them, like 2> or 5> or 12>. Does that mean the name can be used 2, 5 or 12 times in total, or is it a measure of how much more likely they are to be used? I'm just curious to know if each name in the file can only be used once, unless it has a number before it. I'm assuming the game won't allow repeats of the same first name/surname combination?
