Problem with "The opponent switched to another application"

Postby johnmachete » 09 May 2025, 04:09

Hi,

Recently, I've started streaming my WTSL and Forum tour matches. I have a dual-screen setup: one screen for gaming and the other for managing my streaming software. Some opponents have mentioned that every time I move the mouse to the other screen, the game displays that message, which can be annoying for some of them. Is there an option to disable this message?

I wouldn't like to stop streaming TE4, but I also don't want to disturb my opponents with it. For high-quality stream production, I sometimes need to quickly adjust settings on my other monitor. To be honest, I don't see much purpose for that message in these situations. The only time one can waste an opponent's time is during the serve, and even then, there's already a maximum time limit for serving.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

it's not possible to disable that message ; it allows the opponent to know that you're using another application, so if they are fair play they can wait before serve, and if it's annoying for them, they can also leave the match without ELO penalty (if you're away when they give up), so this message is quite useful.

Can it be placed in another place and size which make it less perturbing? it would help to people doing streams and using sfotware as obs or streamlabs and people still would get notified about the application swap.

You can try to request XKT to do that, they already Modded that menu file.
