Why change my topspin in practice to a weaker one? If I don't want to play it, I'll play a regular shot. Or am I wrong?

If I have topspin set to 70%, will every shot I make be played with 70% topspin automatically or only when I use the (PS 4) xL button?

The higher the topspin skill is, the more topspin these strikes will have : normal strike, topspin strike, short strike, acceleration, short acceleration, attack lob.

And the higher the topspin skill is, the slower these strikes will be : normal strike, topspin strike, short strike, acceleration, short acceleration.
