I'm playing WTA career in Junior 10.
I don't expect to win everything and be a service machine but... I have 70/80/80 (power/consistency/precision) and I can't for love of Pete Sampras connect a single first service, whenever I connect one is about 150 km/h. Whenever I hit a 190 or so it goes wide or long but it's rare. I don't mind but all I get is a 200km/h kind of return to the top of the square, unreachable.
Then comes a player that is not even ranked and serves consistently at 160/170 at the corners. I know I'm supposed to suck at the start of the career but feels way too underwhelming at times just because of the fact that I can't serve to at least keep the service.
Also I don't know if it's just me but the perception of speed according to the speed clock on the stadium, says 158 but it feels like 200, I mean I can't even make 1 step towards the ball.
From what I've seen in the video about how to play, when you serve you just press one of the 3 keys: strong, safe and normal, following the guide I have more consistency to make a strong serve but I perhaps make 1 out of 10 and somehow comes like at 150km/h. So how do you serve well? do you move the "target" circle at a specific point? Does that movement affect the efficiency of the service?
Just to add as to how much I suck, many times I do have all the time in the world to prepare the shot, I'm standing at the green zone, arm ready to strike only to end up in the net, what gives?
Well, that is it, I know I sound like a noob, well I am a noob at the game, I really like it a lot and I'm trying to learn as much as I can, sometimes just feels like it's way too hard for a beginner. On that note, is it possible to change difficulty level midway career? I couldn't find that.
