Hi all,
I just got a TE4 for Xbox, but I struggle with it. I have about 100 hours in TE4 on the PC and another 300 h in TE3. The problem is that I have a tough time playing on the Xbox. I do not know what it is, but the game feels less responsive. Is it a generally higher input lag on the Xbox? When serving and also for the groundstrokes, I do not hit the corners anymore and balls always end up poorly placed. I play on Pro 10 difficulty with XKT and WTSL mod activated. I replicated all my PC settings on the Xbox, also for the controller deadzones etc. I went through all the menus. The only thing that was not able to adjust is framerate. The Xbox version is locked on 60 fps. On the PC I play with 190 fps on a 165 hz monitor. For comparison, I hooked the Xbox up to the same monitor. I do win about 90% of my service games against P10 Kyrgios on PC while I have not yet managed to hold serve on Xbox (I did only try for like 15 min ...). It is just a crazy difference. I do not believe that this difference can only caused by the framerate situation. This would maybe account for 40ms in delay. I do think Xbox forces Vsync, but on my 165 hz Gsync monitor, Vsync should not add input lag since the framerate stays under the monitor's max refresh rate. I might be wrong here? Is it a general problem of the Xbox? Are these boxes known to be less responsive? What might I have missed?
Best,
Mori
