What is the default ball size supposed to be, and does it affect gameplay in any way?

I notice it was two notches up from smallest in settings in game, but the ball seemed too big to me relative to the players and racket head, does putting it as small as poss make any difference to the hit box etc, or is it entirely purely visual?

The smallest size seems most realistic to me so im going with that, but wont if it will affect outcomes?

yes, the smallest size is the realistic size. The default size is 25% bigger to be more visible. Of course, this is purely an aesthetic choice.
