The Dropshots are really to difficult to perform

Postby vinsalive » 10 Dec 2024, 16:28

Hello Manu,

I've seen people already adressing the topic before, and I agree with them, the dropshots are really to difficult to perform.

I played for many days in Pro 10 level, no winning drop shot for me or the CPU. The ball is just going to slow, and also drop shot is an instinctive shot, the fact that it needs to be prepared long time to be actually short make it even harder.

Gameplay is fantastic overall, congrats

Hello,

drop shots have to be executed on the baseline or slightly inside it to be effective. Is it what you do ?

Since Alcaraz makes winning drop shots while being 2m behind his line, people would like to do the same in TE4, but it wouldn't be possible to balance it so that it's not too easy to execute. :blackeye:

PS: thanks. :jap:

Hi,

Thanks for the game, on ps5 it is awesome!

Sadly i cannot understand how to do drop shots...even when preparing a loooong time (even inside the baseline!) they come out super long and never work. How to make them short ? :(

Thanks mana again for the awesome game again

fedegolia132,
do you have high skills, especially in Drop Shot ?
Also, do not hit the drop shot while standing within the Danger Zone.

Sadly even with a imported from xkt mod alcaraz (91% drop shot) even when i hit from the green zone (thats what you meant right?) The drop shot is still "long" with the 2nd bounce still slightly longer than the service line...do i have to press down or up with the left stick to make it shorter?

Its maddening because i have seen videos of good drop shots and i continue not to understand how they do it :(

Try to take the ball not too high (ie: at waist height).

I tried but still not working...I tried making a video in training mode, if you could check and give feedback would be great!

Link: search on youtube "tennis elbow 4 ps5 202510 drop shots fail" (since links cannot be posted :) )

From my side' feedback in my opinion there should be some kind of explanation because all of the other shots in my experience have been pretty clear and worked pretty well but still the dropshots always long :(

You're standing like 3 meters behind the baseline, that's why. Try doing drop shots on short balls, when the green zone is completely inside the court and the ball bounces short and weak. Remember, a drop shot is only correctly used when in that same situation you could've done a winner (in my opinion at least)
