Player self-positioning problem

Postby Actarus69 » 24 Oct 2024, 23:13

Hi Manu.

After the summer I started playing TE4 assiduously again, the version is 0.98 and I play on Linux. I play at pro level 5 with an xbox 360 controller and with arcade commands.

I noticed that the self-positioning, despite having set it slow, always makes my player move much earlier and this bothers me quite a bit because it often makes me make mistakes or miss the ball. Can it be removed completely? I honestly don't remember if it was like this in previous versions of the game but it seems like it wasn't. I would like to move my player alone, without self-positioning. How can I do it? Thank you.

Edit: I set Footwork Enhancement to none and always with slow self-positioning and it seems to have gone better. Maybe the problem was Enhanced Footwork? I put it medium. However, I don't remember if this option was there in previous versions of TE4.

Hello,

I think your issue is not about the autopositioning : when you run to the right and the ball goes to your left, if you stop to move, the game will make your player go to the left for just a very short instant.

It's not possible to disable this behavior.

I probably have to get used to it again, I hadn't played in months. However, turning off the Footwork Enhancement option worked better.
