the shoulder position likely changed by 20~30cm (and thus the racket more or less as well), which means your overall visual clues to position your player on the run changed and thus you need a little time to adapt to the new running anim. Except that, there are indeed 0 mechanical gameplay changes : you can replay an old match recording with the new running anim and it'll work the same as the previous version (ie: you'll get as many desyncs with both versions).
Once the run is over the anim is the same though.

it took me 15 minutes to get used to the new anims in 95% of cases and I'm 47 years old with a brain half-frozen...
For me, the change on the accel of the previous update is a lot more game-breaking (at least on clay) than anything else that occurred in the past year.
If you look at the pelvis or center of mass, it's nearly identical to before.
If I put the shoulders back then the player will look upright & more stiff, and thus unnatural like before and it'd cancel 50% of the reason for the change.
I'm going to see if there's a nice way to allow people to use the previous running animations for the next update.

how different is the Djokovic forehand ? Did you check if it changed in the Player customization screen ?
