DualShock 4 controller

Postby cigam32 » 02 Jun 2024, 22:10

Hi, I have resumed the game TE4 after 3 years! Always too little time to play
I have played it on PC. I had a lot of fun: started the career and after 44 weeks I have win just one match and lose another 6-7 (9-11).
It is a bit frustrating to improve your player, the training points fly away :D I am not a good/hardcore gamer, so I need time to learn how to play better. I welcome suggestions from you on how to improve.

To go on topic I would suggest a change about the DualShock 4 controller (I think it is valid for others controllers too). Moving among menus with the left stick is a very bad experience imo. I suggest to use the digital directional buttons and not the analog sticks. I would like to use the analog stick to scroll up and down the lists as the weeks/tournaments one. Scroll it with square and X buttons is an experience I would not recommend to anyone

Thank you

I play on PC too with a DS4 - use the mouse for the menus - life is much easier...

Yes, but in my use case I keep the controller and put away the mouse and the keyboard. I play on TV as a screen, not on the deck.

duffer,
the controller screen is already clogged, I'd really prefer not to put additional things in there... :fear:

manutoo,

I understand, but there is nothing to add, only change the button to navigate in the menus, directional pad instead the stick.
Many many times I go down or up with the analog stick and instead it moves left or right. And you cannot keep the stick in one direction to scroll the list of tournaments (for example), you need to scroll one at the time: down and release, down and release, ...

in Settings -> Controllers -> Player 1, I should add "Menu Up / Down / Left Right", that would be 4 more buttons to configure...

For the scrolling, keep it pressed and it should keep on scrolling. I just checked and it's working on my PC.

For the direction, it could be because the game doesn't always see naturally what is up/down/left/right.
