How to stop hitting ball out?

Postby Microbots » 16 Nov 2022, 14:08

I just noticed a lot of the times, pretty benign hits are going out. I know that when i'm forcing wins and trying to "paint lines" i.e. holding left or right just a bit too long, that will tend to go out. But for some I'm literally just returning so i don't even get that much time, i'm just tapping it to hit to the left or right side of the court wherever, just to get it in play.

I thought this was down to the skills but right now, both power and consistency are at the same and in the old version power could be 10+ over and it still wouldn't cause these many errors. I thought this could've been down to the position, so i turned it on and even on the green it's still flying all over the place.

Like 5 winners and 15 unforced errors is just ridiculous.

Hello,

when you don't have the time to prepare your strike early enough, then it'll always have a significant chance for the ball to end fault or in the net, much more than in TE2013.

To lower that, you can (from most important to least important) :
- be perfectly positioned on the ball
- use the slice, especially on difficult balls
- raise your Focus above your (Speed + Muscle Tone) / 2
- raise your FH (or BH) precision above your FH (or BH) power

Else, you could change your controls in your Character Sheet from Simulation to Arcade, which would get you closer to TE2013 simulation controls or possibly a bit easier.

It's a part of the game. There are many green errors that just sail out for no reason at all. Just got to accel less and play safer, nothing you can do.
