Gameplay : how to play long shots ?

Postby matservant » 05 Oct 2022, 21:59

I'm struggling to play very long balls on the court, all my shots arrive at the middle of the court, I play with gamepad, and I can't play very long balls touching the baseline of the court
How do you guys do that ?

I think the longer you charge some shots the depth increases slightly, however you can't specifically aim depth. Honestly, in my experience deep shots that land on the baseline are mostly from using the "normal" or topspin shot and being lucky with how your racquet connects with the ball as well as there being an element of RNG. Sometimes off timed shots where you release the key instead of holding through the entire stroke end up super floaty and long.

matservant,
to do deep strikes, you need :
- high FH & BH Consistency
- prepare your strike early
- be well positioned on the ball

And to be very long, you need to be well inside the baseline.
