TE4 difficulty compared to other TE games

Postby leandrom90 » 30 May 2022, 18:10

Hello! Playing Tennis Elbow since 2011 and I have some questions regarding World Tour mode.

In TE2011 I played on Pro 10 difficulty and I was usually winning Grand Slams around 3 in-game years. Thought it was too easy and started playing TE2013 on Master 10 difficulty and, at the same point (3 years into World Tour), I've struggled a lot on Challenger scene (around 120~150 rank), reaching like four Challenger finals only and often losing to players with worse stats.

How does TE4 compare to those games? I've saw some topics mentioning TE4 IA is "easier" than TE2013, but I couldn't find how TE2011 compare to those games. Not a fan of changing the difficulty mid-game (yes, it's an arbitrary hurdle I'm imposing to myself) and I've played only the free demo so far, so I don't know what to expect in World Tour mode.

Hello,

TE4 is a bit harder to get into than T2013. Once you passed that, and get used to how to do accelerations, it'll get easier to end the points, and thus it might feel easier than TE2013.

I guess you should try to play in Master-10 and expect to win at least 1 slam per year after 3 years on the Pro Tour.

Anyway, the Training Club is good enough to compare the difficulty, so you can check how you feel against Master-10.

Explain how to do acceleration, because I could not adapt to the new control. I understand that you may be remaking the game for well-known tennis stimulants, but I think this is not true, there is a completely different meaning of their games. In general, TE3 is much better in terms of game control.

Sascha3012,
TE4 controls are identical to TE2013 ones, so right now I still invite you to read the TE2013 doc : https://www.managames.com/tennis/doc/Te ... ml#strikes .

For the controller, the strike mapping is a bit different but you check it & can change it to your liking in Settings -> Options -> Player 1 -> Controller 1.
