Hi manutoo, is it possible to increase max FH, BH,... speed? I feel like the strike speed of Top Spin players is very weak, it's not as effective as Flat players.

You need to be well-positioned to hit good topspin strike, but I'm going to boost a bit the efficiency of the topspin in the future.

Yeah, I know manutoo. Great to hear that u r going to boost the Top Spin I have an idea, you can seperate 2 types of strike Flat and Top Spin, into 2 commands so Top Spin players can hit Flat Spin and so on. In real life, players with good Top Spin can always hit powerful Flat strikes, such as Nadal, Djokovic, Thiem,... If it's not possible, here is another idea. You can add this mechanic to the game: To make a Top Spin strikes, you have to position and hold strike button as early as possible, the longer you hold the button, the more spinning the ball will be. And in the other hand, the shorter time you hold the button, the flatter the strike will be, which mean more power. And you can consider increase Top Spin strike speed a little bit.

Strong strikes from Nadal & co aren't flat : they have more topspin than what most players will ever be able to put into their strike.
Overall, in real life, more topspin is almost always better.
In TE4, as it's a game, I balanced that a bit and it can somewhat viable to have lower topspin. However, the maximum speed handicap in TE4 for the topspin is only 10km/h, whereas in TE2013 it was 20km/h, while the max speed was lower, and thus in TE4 that difference is really not that important, especially as the topspin brings more net clearance and thus gives more safe accelerations, and can allow hitting a bit stronger the lower balls.

I get what u mean. But in real life, in some situations when the ball is about shoulder level, Top Spin players can always hit flat strike with great speed. I hope you can bring that in the game too, it looks promising

I know this manutoo. I mean the Top Spin in the strike depends on purpose of the player who make it, he can make how flat or how spinning the ball is whenever he wants. Top Spin skill is just how spinning the strike is when he tries his best. But in the game, it's like an attribute which we can't remove it to make a heavy flat strike when needed.

And this doesn't make sense too, because in real life every player can do that, it doens't depend on their playing style. It depends only on the situation and their abilities, every single player in that situation want to hit heavy as much as possible to finish the point.

There's no skill for the Shoulder Height Acceleration bonus, that's why it's bound to the player style instead.

You can make it equal for all playing styles. Shoulder Height Acceleration bonus depends on FH and BH stats is enough I think.

BTW, in TE 2013, can I increase FH, BH max speed, which file I have to edit, I have a look at Tennis.ini but can't find something about it.
