polakis,
I still don't know the performances : I was still not able to run the game on my DevKit (got many bugs on the way  ).
I don't think the Xbox One can run a game natively at 4K though ; maybe it can upscale, but I'm not sure. If you want 4K, you need the Xbox One X, or the Xbox One Series S/X.

On the latest blog, if you are going to drop something, drop Hawkeye. It's being dropped in real tournaments now, along with line judges in some cases. All computerised. We have computers to play TE4. We have the technology. No need for questionable line calls!

After recently buying TE4 at the v0.90 level, I do hope you will have the time to improve the animations after v1 is done. They never look quite right in this or in the previous game, almost like a few frames of animation are missing. It is the one thing you could do to significantly improve sales.

wow 7 years is a lot! I get it that it can lead to tiredness and you want to move on, it makes all the sense in the world.

I feel the game is great as it's today, but I agree that if you have to decide only one thing left to do, I'd go with improving animations without a doubt. Wish I have an answer on what to improve about them, I know there's not budget for a AAA experience, but maybe little things here and there that can improve the experience would make all the difference in the world

Hi, are you planning to release the game in version 1.0 or version Game preview on Xbox?

I didn't know that you had been working on TE4 for 7 years, that's a long time. I don't know what games you'll want to make in the future, and I take inspiration from this to tell you something that I don't know if I've ever told you but it doesn't hurt to repeat it: I will never stop thanking you for giving us Linux users, and me in particular because I love tennis, to be able to play TE2013, and now TE4.

It's not for everyone, we users are often ignored because we only program for Windows, but we like to play too :D

So thank you once again. And obviously if you make new games we Linux users are here ;)

TinTin5,
by "previous game", do you mean TE2013 or TEM2 ?
I don't have a confirmed plan to improve the strike animations at this point. However, I'd like to do at least 1 forehand in all reaching positions, to compare the result of hand-made animations vs procedural ones (spoiler alert : it should logically be much better for the extreme cases :blackeye: ).
About the missing frames, I'm not sure what you mean ; if you have the time & the mood, could you launch a replay when it happens, pause it on the most explanatory moment (once pause you can advance & rewind by 1 frame by pressing the menu action & lower buttons), and then send me a Bug Report detailing a bit more about what went wrong ? (HowTo => topic5-31732.php )

KarLewis,
it'll be the same version on Xbox as on PC. I'll likely remove the "Early Version" banner in-game as it's not very useful anymore, and put a message on the game-start to explain the game will still see improvements.

Actarus69,
thanks for the praise ! :jap:
However, Steam Proton works pretty well nowadays, but I get that Steam DRMs aren't exactly in the Linux spirit... :blackeye:

No, that's not why, I don't use Proton because I'm not a gamer, I only play a few games, and those few I prefer native Linux. And so I appreciate programmers like you who also make games for Linux :)
