Agreed. :) It can be Very shocking sometimes, especially when I am playing online with ppl who consistently mix it up well. It's kinda annoying.

S.Williamz wrote: also because I think you need less time to press to aim it well?

Really? :o :fear: S.Williamz, i wonder why do you think it requires less time to aim? Is it because of the slice? How do you know?
If this is true, then it's kinda unfair in gameplay.

It is a bit realistic since players in real life do sometimes go for an extremely flat aggressive shot in desperate situations. But, it's not any harder to hit or control in TE, other than having to hit 2 buttons. If it was harder to pull off, like a risk shot in the Top Spin series, I could see it working.

As already stated long time ago, having the slice animation & doing an acceleration gives no bonus (except on the 2H-BH, which gives a bit more reach), but if someone does this intentionally, he'll lose some precision, coz the preparation timer is reset when u change the strike.
To prevent this, I should force the use of 3 buttons, which I won't do...

I noted some other things:

-first, when i see the season results, the first week's tournament is located on the week number 52 of the previous season (that don't exist for the player)
-second, on week 36 more than 100 players lost his points in the entry rank, and a looot of players, human player included, gain more than 100 postitions "for free" (i haven't played in that week and i'm passed from 661 to 552  ), so maybe could be good to dispense way better the points to defense for the cpu during the first season, in few words, not all in the same week/weeks.
-third, i think that if i choose to play singles and doubles competitions in the same tournament, i must be able to play the same round of both disciplines, and not all singles matches followed by doubles. Example: i play qualies in a tour, ok, i play first round in singles, than, no matter if i win or not, i will play doubles first round, so i will play 2nd round in singles (if i won), followed by 2nd round in doubles (always if i won) etc etc
-fourth, too difficult to hit aces (with 60% abilities just 1 or 2 aces in a match, come on!) and to place smash shots (i will insist 'till the end of my days hehe)
-fifth, it should be wonderful if i could see all the stats of the matches that i ever played in world tour, instead of the final scores only.
-last, it's impossible to hit winners with countertime shots when the cpu is at the net, the only way to "hole it" is choosing the wide part, the direction where the cpu player is running, if not, he take all the balls. It ruin the variety during rallies, because if you want to win the point, you're forced to hit always the same shot

Out of speech: Is it possible that i must play JC Ferrero, a top player, in a future first round, because he's ranked 667? Why this?

I add a little idea: flip coin before any match...hehe :blackeye:

I have some great suggestions.........

1.There's no more ATP tournament in Ameersfoort...it's now in Belgrade, Serbia and it's played on clay....
2.Challenger in Belgrade is not played on clay....it's played on grass.....
3.I think that you should make more realistic ATP and WTA ranking at the start point of 2009.......Viktor Troicki is 40.....not 300....:)

I'm from Serbia so believe me.....if you dont believe that ATP tournament is played in Belgrade, not Ameersfoort see that on www.serbiaopen.rs

PS. Game is great.....:)

Look at the HowToMod document in the Data folder where you installed Tennis Elbow to. It explains how to edit tournaments and players in world tour.

I know editing tournaments is very easy. Open the Tour.ATP ini file in the Data folder, find Amersfoot and switch it to Belgrade. To change the surface of a tournament like you said... change Ground = CL to Ground = GR.

The rankings are a little more tricky, and there's also randomization throughout each year.

swissmade,
1- on Week 52 of the 1st season, u can play qualies of the tournaments of the 1st week
2- this totally random & change at each career start
3- this is done according the actual real day of play
4- it's quite hard to do aces without doing too many (and 60% isn't that high ;) )
7- on what year ? before being a top player, Ferrero had to start from 0 like anybody else...

andrijagajic,
3- Troicki's base ranking is correct, I guess he had a bad season in ur game, but by the end of year, he'll probably raise a lot of ranks..!

Because he's terrible, his game is hideous to watch, and ManuTOO doesn't hate us?

He's in the game, but for some reason, his career was set for 1991-2008. You can edit him in the Data/Players.ATP.ini file.

would it be possible to have sudden death deuces in doubles like in real life in the next build?

I think it would be good to add :)
