Tennis Elbow 2013 v1.0d [Windows]

General discussions about the 3rd edition of Tennis Elbow

The updates are useless if they ruin the game. I am very thankful for Manutoo's constant maintenance of the game, but this update has ruined the game for me, and I don't like wasting my money. I used to hit many winners from the baseline, but now it's all errors and my W/UE ratio is constantly negative. Also volleying is now impossible for some reason - even slicing the volleys causes errors.
I paid 20$ for a certain game and now it has changed. It's only reasonable to request changing the game back to what it was before the last two updates.

lol, the game went through a lot of changes, this last update is what actually saved the game, you clearly have no idea how the game used to be a few updates ago..
about the errors: you should learn how to master the game first, and then blame the update for your novice errors.. 8-)
Respect ALL...fear NONE!!

I have been playing this game for like 3 years, so I do know a thing or two about it. And your second sentence is not arrogant at all, novice errors? Seriously?!

I played this game for 2.5 years in the trial version, then I decided to buy it about half a year ago. Any problems with that? If anyone needs to be ashamed of himself it's you for rushing to conclusions before even knowing a thing or two about my history with this game. I have the right to be pissed off after spending 20 bucks on a game and having it changed a few months after making the deal.

ok give a name of videogame editor which offers a playable demo for 2.5 Y ? for free of course ?

You can play offline and tune the game with so much settings instead of crying fo 20 bucks ... Ask your mother to get 20 bucks back to buy another video game ! lol

Done talking to you guys, this discussion is going nowhere. I'll just wait for Manutoo's response.

Did you modify something between the last build and the previous one (few days before) ???

CAUSE NET-CORDS ARE BACK !!! i got 3 in 2 games while i was on the net and my opponent hit slow and short shots far from the baseline and hits the net

AmitGins,
as the changes in gameplay were minimalist, I'm not sure what's wrong for you, so except if you were exploiting the netcords, nothing changed much.
If before the v1.0d you were not played on clay, and now you're playing on clay, that would more than explain your change of feelings... So just stick with it and I'm sure you'll get back to your level.

testo,
nope, it didn't change ; it's still possible to get some netcords, but the bounce is higher thus usually it gives much easier ball to fight them back. From my tests, usually the ball would have been shorter & more dangerous if it didn't have hit the net.

Manutoo,
I've been playing the game for almost 2 years now (offline mode only), and for me, all in all this is the most balanced Version I've ever played. Thank you very much for eliminating the kick-serve aces, but I really wonder, why you changed the Quality of returning first serves of cpu-players as well. For me, it was perfect in Version 1.0c, whereas I can hardly take any Advantage of massive and well-placed serves in the new Version. My rate of Points won on second serve often is higher than the one on first serve. I had the same Problem in Version 1.0c, but then it was because 2nd serve was too strong and now it's because first serve is a bit too weak.
Best regards,
NeNa

P.S.@AmitGins: It is very respectless to demand Money back from someone, who has developed a Video game with such an amazing love for Detail, who constantly tries to improve the game in reaction to literally every criticism voiced by anyone, and who offers the game for such a low Price. You can like or dislike any new Version of this game, but please stay respectful!

NeNa,
it's hard to tune the CPU return of serve. In my tests (against Pro-10 / Master-10), if I serve close enough of the lines, then I can do enough aces & serve winners to say that the 1st serve is a good weapon. But as soon as I don't serve close enough of the lines (ie: more than 20-60cm depending the CPU level), then it's getting closer of a 50/50 state. That means for people serving well, lowering more the CPU return skills might make him too weak, while for people serving not that well, he's already a bit too strong...
So I can advice you to lower a bit for the CPU return skill for yourself : search.php?keywords=AiSlowerServer .

For the most part, I like the latest update. It took some getting used to because of the much better play of the CPU opponents.
But, I have have no side judges for the base line and service line. The three judges are there at the end of the court, but no side judges.

Thanks for a great game :D
