Just one question, what player do we choose when we play the matches? can we choose a random player (like federer for example) or does it have to be our own custom made one? How can i qualify?

You can use whatever character you want, a loaded player or your own created one! To qualify you just have to queue up for the tournament (right now the tournaments don't get a full draw, so there is no qualy for now). PS.: try using a character that has 880 points left on the character screen for optimal stats!. hope to see you on the court soon!!
