Hi. Im curious to know if having multiple special serve talents can counteract each other. Eg if I am playing on clay, is it more advantageous to have only the kick serve, or would it be better to have all 3 special severs for variety.

Hello,

no, each talent is for a type of serve, thus they don't interact with each other. If you coach in the 3D match, you can try different serves, but in text mode, only the best type is used.

Thank you for your response. I'm sorry to ask again but I am still a little unclear. If I'm playing a 3D match and I have the kick service talent only, I would assume I would be hitting more kick 2nd serves than twist or slice? If so, then as the kick service works better on clay, I would be more effective? Likewise, if I have all three talents, I would hit a mixture of kick/slice/twist serves?

For example, on slow surfaces, the player will mostly do Topspin 2nd serves if has the Topsin serve talent, but if he also has the Kick serve talent, he'll do a few less to do a Kick serve instead sometimes, but he'll never slice.

Coming back to this one.

If my player has all 3 serve special talents and I only use 3D matches, would it be better it increase the serve spin % on the in game coaching toggles to get better benefit?

I currently dont touch that option so it is at the default 50%, but i'm thinking if I increase it for all matches. On say grass say, my player would hit majority of slice serves because they have that talent which would be more beneficial. Same as on clay they would hit more top spin serves.

I cannot give you a definite answer for that, especially as it might depend on other parameters. The best is to give it a try and make your own guesstimate.
