Is there an advice page?

Postby Curtis » 17 Jun 2022, 11:59

I just tried TEM2, being a big fan of TEM, but even though I'm not doing the 3D matches, this game still seems to have a steep learning curve. I have copied the documentation page: https://www.managames.com/tennismanager ... tml#junior

First, which has nothing to do with game play, I tried five times to download and install the newest version of TEM2 and keep getting 'install failed' results. I was able to successfully install the version from last November. I have a Windows machine now [no more Mac — YAY!!!] running Windows 11.

Second, when playing a juniors tour (Club difficulty), am I best off to train for half of the year, then put all 12 allowable tournaments into the second half of the year?

Third, it appears you need to advance the week twice to get anything to happen. Is there a reason for this?

Fourth, it looks like resting 4 days a week (or alternating 3 and 4 days) in the first year is best to keep injuries at a minimum while still developing skills, correct?

Finally, isn't there a way to play what in TEM were 'sparring sets' while at a Juniors tournament? I kept setting the afternoons to 'practice rounds', but it doesn't look like the rounds ever got played.

Hello,

1) I just tested the latest installer, and it worked correctly ; I hope it's not an issue only with Windows 11... :fear:

2) 4) It's the kind of things you have to figure out by yourself (or if you're very lucky, someone who played the game a lot could tell you :P )

3) I guess you have turned on the "View CPU v CPU matches", which pauses the game at the beginning of the week, so you can select the matches you'd like to see

5) The "Practice Match" Junior session works the same as the "Practice Match" for the Pro player, except you can do it at any time, as the Coach is good enough to spare with the Junior player.
