Training needs on tournaments

Postby noys390 » 17 Aug 2020, 12:52

What are the training skills to emphasis on to win grass & clay tournaments on text matches?
What is the topspin to play in grass & clay? Is there an optimal one to play both surface? How significant the topspin is in text matches?

Hello,

more important one is the topspin : low for grass, high for clay ; although you may not want to spend a lot of your training time raising & lowering it.

After that, it depends on your player style. Most efficient on clay is defending and on grass is attacking ; you can see some of the skills involved in that here : https://www.managames.com/tennismanager ... ayingstyle .

A bit more info here : https://www.managames.com/tennismanager ... l#surfaces .

Thanks Manutoo for your response.
I want to know what is the weightage on topspin, play-style or other skills. Do a puncher or PB, CP with 50 topspin enjoys more winning? than a volleyer with 0 topspin or a defender with 100 topspin, considering they play on all courts with similar skills. Asking this for a Tem2 text match only.

0% vs 100% topspin on clay = +20% skill bonus.

This is the only simple calculation. For everything else, there's no way to answer without tons of calculations... :fear:

If you turn on the DevMode, you'll see the Rally, Return, Serve & global strength on the mid-speed surface for each player on the bottom of his Character Sheet. (HowTo => topic19-32161.php )

Hi Manutoo,
I have a question on court modding. In the un-modded game court surface speed ranges from -1 to +1. What happens to the player statistic (skill boost) when the surface speed of the court is less that -1 or greater than +1 ? Do the court speed beyond the normal range create any abnormal changes to game play?

The surface speed is clamped to the [-1; +1] range, so values outside of it shouldn't do anything.
