Hello,

after 3 months of efforts to port the TE engine to the Unity engine, here's the Alpha version of TEM2 powered by Unity !

Demo :
- Windows : https://www.managames.com/predownload_e ... ity_a1.exe (it installs in another folder than TEM2 Beta, so you can safely have both on your PC)
- MacOs : https://www.managames.com/predownload_e ... ity_a1.pkg (rename the existing TEM2 Beta in your Application folder before installing this one)

So it should be working like the current TEM2 Beta, except there's no 3D player shown in the menus and the 3D match isn't available. (EDIT March 2nd: the 3D players are now back into the menus ! EDIT May 22nd: the Unity port is done, everything from the Legacy Beta is there ! )

Everything else should be working more or less correctly ; it might have glitches so it'll be very helpful if you report them, as usual.

Notes :
1) I automated the way to flag invisible items in the menu system, so some items may be visible when they shouldn't, and vice versa, which leads to some strange results in the menu. I tested almost everything but not everything so here again glitches may happen.

2) The game (almost) cannot fully crash anymore like before ; now, if it crashes, it will still run but it'll show a big yellow ball on the top right of the screen ; in such event, it's better to close the game then send me the log (by default "C:\Program Files (x86)\Tennis Elbow Manager 2 [Unity]\Tennis Elbow Manager 2_Data\output_log.txt") and if required your latest saved game (in "C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\LocalLow\Mana Games\Tennis Elbow Manager 2\Profiles") (I'll try to add an auto-send within 2 weeks)

3) The next step is to put back the 3D Players in the menu, hopefully for the end of this week, then make the whole 3D matches work again, hopefully for the end of March (mini-blog post coming soon with more details EDIT: done => viewtopic.php?p=258713#p258713 )

4) There's no noticeable new feature in this new version, except if you play in low resolution (ie: less than 1080p) : the fonts should look noticeably better, as they are better scaled down now

SubBuild 2019.3.2:

New Features :
- Character Sheet : the 3D players are now visible and configurable

- Loading : speed up a bit the game loading and changed the loading screen now works same than in the non-Unity Beta

- Added a crash reporter popping up when the game crashes, which sends a screenshot of your game screen plus your last saved game (if you're in the World Tour) in addition of the log ; this should greatly ease & fasten the bug reports

Mac version released (see the download link in the 1st post).

I didn't test it much. Theoretically, it should work as well as the Windows version, but I already found & fixed a couple of issues that were Mac specific.

SubBuild 2019.3.9:

Bug Fixes :
- Male/Female status for your player wasn't saved/reloaded, as well as a few other parameters
- Current Play status wasn't saved/reloaded for all players, leading to many issues making the game unplayable
- Tuned a bit the crash report form behavior, so now it can pause the Tour processing if required, instead of letting it crashes non-stop while filling the form
- The game isn't saved automatically anymore (except for the weekly autosaves) after a crash, to avoid losing your current save ; you'll have to manually save if you go on playing, although it's greatly recommended to close and relaunch the game instead

- The Crash Reporter will now send up to the 3 last saved games, as sometimes the last one is already in a too broken state

- So the Warmup is kinda playable : the physics & the gameplay should be the same than the non-Unity Beta, but without the player animations it is noticeably less fun (plus all the other missing things)
- EDIT 16:30 GMT+1: the game was crashing during the startup if your PC didn't have a joystick ; this is now fixed !

I just re-updated the game again, as there was still a crash on start because of the new code for the Joysticks.
It should be now fixed. Just re-download and re-install the demo to be set.

SubBuild 2019.3.20:

New Features :
- Warmup: added back the camera stuff, the Aiming Preview, the Danger Zone, the Ball Impact and its Preview

Changes :
- Camera : now the 3rd person camera always looks up on lobs and high balls

Bug Fixes :
- Sound : most of sounds didn't work in the Warmup

SubBuild 2019.3.22:

New Features :
- 3D Match : put back the frame interpolation for the ball and the camera, so their rendering is very smooth if you're run at 100+fps (it's still not there for the Players & the Aiming Preview, so they get especially jerky on camera movement)

Changes :
- Player Skills : significantly lowered the mental skills of the CPU players when they are far from their best rank (so their technical skills will raise a bit to compensate)

Bug Fixes :
- Fixed 1 bug when saving on the Week 52, and a series of nasty bugs occurring when reloading the game
- The rankings in the fictional years weren't created so everybody (or only some players ?) had ~100% skills everywhere
- 3D player : the texture mapping on the male short n°2 was incorrect

- 3D Match : new animation system bases are in place, but there's no smoothing, so the constant jerking is painful to watch (plus it misses all the special cases handling so there's a lot of strange things going on )

Bug Fixes :
- New Career : the 1st year could be 0 instead of 1973 or 1983
- World Tour : starting on the 1st year of the base was leading to many issues
- World Tour : starting on the last year of the base was leading to a crash

- 3D Match : new animation system is done !
- 3D Match : Training Club matches are now available

- Globally the new animation system should look very close to the non-Unity one, except it should be a tad more smooth and it may still have issues in some special cases, as I tested but not too much. Let me know if you notice anything.
- And now it means the 3D matches are playable again in the Training Club (although still not in the World Tour) ; it still misses the stadium & NPCs, but it's enjoyable again
