Hello,

after 8 months in Early version, here's the Beta version of TEM2 !

You can download the demo from here :

The state of the game is changed to Beta because now all the important new features are implemented in the game. It misses some polish and some secondary features that may come later on.

I'll keep fixing the bugs reported during the next few months while I'll be busy porting the game to the Unity engine. The v1.0 will come shortly after it's done.

SubBuild 2018.11.10:

New Features :
- 3D Match : can save/load the current coaching strategy
- Menus : the In-Game menus has been converted to the new TEM2 style and the In-Game options & Camera settings have been moved to the Settings menu

Bug Fixes :
- Music : the in-game menu music was playing all the time during the match

Main new features since TEM1 :
- Men Tour starts in 1973 & Women Tour in 1983
- Fictional years are generated in real-time, so each playthrough sees different top players in the future
- Junior players, management and training
- New menu design
- Olympics
- Better injury handling (eg: can go on playing with the risk to get more injured)
- Training Schedule (can save a training schedule & reapply it)
- Modding : can have a completely different Tournament list each year
- 3D Matches with real-time coaching

Future improvements :
- Porting the game to the Unity engine (it'll help with compatibility with many different computers, and with font clarity in the menus)
- New Coach Center in 3D, with Medical Center
- Focus skill (it'll allow having slow players who still hit correctly the ball when they're a bit late on it)
- A few new Talents
- Little things here & there

Known Bug on MacOS
It might not be possible to change the player colors with High Sierra. The ball is grey/white. It'll be fixed when the game is ported to the Unity engine, in a few months.

SubBuild 2018.11.12:

New Features :
- 3D Match : the CPU can now save his energy during a match and also switch back to full energy mode if he loses a set, like in the text-based match
- 3D Match : the no-penalty zone for strategy change is smaller if the player is without the coach nor a skilled assistant
- 3D Match : added a little arrow on the Energy bar to show lower energy consumption from low Energy Spending (when it's activated)
- Text-based match : the penalty for changing of tactic is bigger if the player is without the coach nor a skilled assistant

Changes :
- 3D Match : Energy Spending now also directly lowers the Short Form and Long Form depletions, so even if the match is tighter, it will be still often advantageous to save energy

Bug Fixes :
- 3D Match : the coaching interface could not appear anymore if you had turned on your Mac since a very long time

Build 20 SubBuild 2018.11.16:

New Features :
- 3D Match : it's now possible to take control of your player in the World Tour 3D matches and play some tennis ! (1)
- Training Club : the Training Club is now fully featured in the game, with all its menus converted to the new TEM2 style, alongside the Recording options, working both for the Training Club & World matches

Changes :
- 3D Match AI : the CPU was slicing too often
- 3D Match AI : lowered the topspin penalties for the one-handed and two-handed backhands
- 3D Match AI : the CPU Defender & Bulldog now use the slice more often if they have the Slice Mastery Talent

Notes :
(1)- however, doing so will unbalance the management side, as some skills will be less useful if you play by yourself
- Price has been raised, as announced in the newsletter a few months ago, but there's a discount till the end of the month, so you have a chance to get the game at almost its old price for 10 more days

Changes :
- Talent : Spinny & Flat Backhand effects implemented : Spinny BH gives a lil bonus on slow surfaces and has no effect on medium and fast surfaces, and Flat BH gives a lil bonus on fast surfaces and has no effect on medium and slow surfaces
- Talent : Slice Mastery now has 2 stars instead of one and its maximal effect has been raised by 25%
- 3D Matches : now the Form of the Day will be applied to your player even when you take control of him

New Features :
- 3D Match : added Skip To Game Point & Start of Tie-break, plus continuously skip to the next important points, and skipping waiting phases

Changes :
- World Tour Players : way too many players had several 100% skills ; now only the top 15 may have several 100% skills
- World Tour Players : some players had too low mental skills, and some a few too high skills

Bug Fixes:
- 3D Match : opening the Player Stats screen was resetting the player look
- 3D Match : depending on the settings, the CPU player could aim way too often to his opponent backhand

- 3D match : added a "Controls" button in the Player Stats screen if you control the player
- World Tour : added a "Save to Training Club" button on bottom right of the Character Sheet

- 3D match : couldn't take the control of a CPU player
- 3D match : the camera wasn't on the Player 2 side automatically when the Player 1 was in CPU mode and the Player was in Human mode

- Physics : the ball bounce was messed up since Build 22 as I had put a test and forgotten to remove it before releasing the update
- 3D Match : the tooltip wasn't hidden when the coaching interface was hidden
- Junior : the tournament limit was counting the qualifying and main draw as 2 different tournaments

New Features:
Modding : it's now possible to mod the play day for each round. Remove the starting "//" from this line in TourCategory.Ini :

and the final will play on Friday for the doubles Future tournaments. Each number is for a day of the week, from Sunday to Monday ; 0 = doesn't play ; 1 = play. 1st number is for the top half of the draw, 2nd one is for the bottom half of the draw.
If you do this with a saved game in the middle of a week, it'll mess up your current tournaments.

Bug Fixes:
- 3D Matches : the automatic skipping to next important point was triggering at start of the following match if you had ended the previous match using that skipping button

- Text-based match : point evolution on a break game should now feel more natural
- Recruiting Player : now the recruiting menu shows the relevant ranking for each player (eg: if a player has a Junior goal, it'll show his Junior rank, whatever the filter button is)
- 3D Matches : players with the Slice Serve Talent were doing too many 1st sliced serves
- Modding : you can now added 1 or 2 values to PlayDayS or D in TourCategory.Ini, like this :

Bug Fixes:
- Modding : creating a 2-week Olympic event was leading to wrong doubles partners on the 2nd week
- Olympics : round name for the Bronze match was labeled "Final"
- Menu : pressing escape in an input text field was closing the game
