Tennis Elbow 2006 v1.0b just got released (Build 26) :

This is only a little update from the v1.0a.

Here the latest improvements :
- updated players list, to reflect end of season 2006 changes
- when trial period ends, now it's still possible to play online

Build 27, February 20th:

Changes :
- enhanced top spin lob : it's now more easy to do winning attack lobs, especially in Junior and Pro difficulty levels

New features :
- Online : the name of your opponent is shown on the connection page

Changes :
- gameplay : enhanced top spin lob is only effective against CPU player; against human player, the previous attack lob is used (because it's too hard for humans to catch this new lob, especially online with the lag)

Build 29, February 26th:

Bug Fixes:
- online mode: since the build 27, there are some problems during the connection; I'm not sure why, as it seems to be random, but I just removed a part of the new debug system that could be the source of this trouble

Build 30:
- online mode: problem fixed, it was because of an optimisation leading to troubles on certain configurations

Build 31, March 1st:

- gameplay : special top spin lob of defender removed : it wasn't useful anymore against CPU players, because of the improvement of the previous version, and it was too powerful against human players

Build 32, April 3rd:

New features :
- possibility to send the crash report directly to Managames.com when a crash occurs (which should be hopefully quite rare now )
- World Tour : possibility to change the difficulty level of your opponent during the match presentation
- World Tour : possibility to change the number of sets during the match presentation
- World Tour : a "Favorite partner" button added on other players' character sheet : if you click on it, the player will be added to the double partner selection list, if he's free, and if he doesn't have a partner better ranked than him, and if you're ranked well enough for him (you can have only 1 "favorite partner" at the time)
- Online : must wait end of point to open chat or menu
- Online : approximate player level done with an ELO-type score, and count of total online matches played (don't be too serious with this ranking, it's experimental and really approximate !)

Thanks for the update.

The online ranking is broken, though. I've played 3 matches, won them all, and my ranking went to 1025, then 1000, then 1003.

yup Leena, u were right, so :

Build 33, April 3rd:
Bug Fixes:
- online : the ELO score wasn't calculated correctly (both players were losers or winners)

Note:
- online : this ELO-type score can raise when you lose against more good player than you, if you won a lot of games (example: 6/7), and can lower when you win against a more weak player than you, if you lost a lot of games (example: 7/6)

- corrected a bug introduced in the build 32 that could lead to corrupted saved games (sorry for the inconvenience )

Changes :
- gameplay : reduced volley jump speed by ~30% for humans, and ~20% for CPU players (please let me know if it's better like this, especially for online play)
- online : 1st player cannot be CPU anymore (2nd player for doubles still can be CPU)

New features :
- Online : possibility to chat at the end of the match

Build 36, May 30th:

Bug fixes :
- Online : in most cases, ELO score will now drop when you quit a match, instead of raising
- Online : finished matches should now be listed as long as players are chatting together
