Is it possible to start a new game ranked above 300? Like could there only be 200 players, or could you just start at 200?

Hello,

the only way to start at the rank #200 is to have only 200 players in the game.
But then, on some weeks, there won't be enough players to fill all the tournament draws.

Why would you like to start above the rank #300 ?

If you want to climb faster at start of a new game, you can use the cheat codes (have a look at the complete documentation).

I just wanted to have less than 300 players, like a smaller tour, thats all. If I delete 100 players though, I still start at 300 there are just blank players from andora who have 0% skill on everything, but they still play and start above me.

For me, as more players are in game, that's better (read realistic).
It would be really great if there are ALL ATP players ingame (about 2000) but I know that's impossilbe
Maybe the only thing I'd like to change (read add) to this game is WTA...
That would be a nice thing to play against hingis, williams, sharapova and others...

And btw, I havent seen any tennis game with ALL tournaments in it... Really good job.

P.S. about current game, I find moving player a bit idiotic and unrealistic.. if there is ANY way of change that.....

Humm, yup, I just checked, and actually, I forced a minimum of 300 players. It's because Grand Slams need 240 players (112 enter directly, and 128 play the qualifications).

In TE2006, you could put the limit to 2000 players and enter all of them in the Players.ini (if you have the time ! )

WTA will maybe come in a couple of years, but it's not planned right now.

About the moving players, it's the animation that is a bit strange ? unfortunately, I cannot change it now...

I like realistic games so I like games that has players already in it (with specific and characteristic capabilities) and I dont want to put them manually.. (this let me the option to change something and I DONT WANT TO! )

I think you should deal because manutoo has put alot of time and effort into this and you can put some time in if you want 2000 players yourself. I think 300 is plenty, maybe some more, but if you want 2000 I think you better start maknig them right now.

About the number of players, I think 300 is a good number, as it corresponds to the players who play in the main ATP tour (from Grand Slam to World Series, but not challenger).
In real life, there are a lot more challengers, but as the game is built now, it's easy to rise to the top #100, so challengers aren't so useful. (and it's even more true for future and satellite tournaments, that I didn't put in the game)

I know some Tennis Elbow user built their database with 500 players, but I never heard about someone doing more, I know 2000 is a big bunch of work !
