CPU running back to smash

Postby noys390 » 04 Sep 2023, 15:02

Hi Manutoo
On slow high bounce courts, I see cpu players running back from net to the baseline to smash the ball back. The running backward to a lob and hitting a 'between the leg' tweener shot is not easy in real tennis. In TE4, cpu is finding way to trace good lobs back into play. I would recommend to reduce accuracy of a running back shot since we do not have a tweener shot in game.

Hello,

sorry for the delay to answer you ; I wanted to publish the new Build before getting into this. :fear:

Could you send me a Bug Report the next time it happens so I'll have a look ? (HowTo => topic5-31732.php -- Be sure to have the latest version)

On this video, it was not too shocking. What was the CPU level ? (it's better to send me a Bug Report so I can check everything I need)

Cpu is pro 5. I will try to provide the bug report next time. You don't seem to agree with me but my point here is lobs are getting less effective. As I mentioned in my first post running back to baseline on a lob & putting it back to play is not easy in real tennis. That's why we find most lobs are winners or not chased down correctly. Coming to the game here, being a human player it is quite difficult to run back to lobs & hit it while the cpu seems to do it with ease by running back & taking a perfect position (due to advantage of AI prediction). Overall it is not reflecting reality.
