Serving from corners bug

Postby RogerF » 24 Jun 2012, 02:10

Hello, i just played against a loser called Lucie Safarova who served only from corners, which made it impossible for me to guess where he was gonna serve. and even when i anticipated where he was gonna serve i was still unable to return the ball because of the crazy angle. I dont think ive ever seen any player in real life serve from the corners therefore it shouldnt be in the game either. ITS too overpowered...

totally agree with you. its just unbelieveble that serving from corners is allowed...i just wonder what the reason is. thats not even tennis anymore, its like penalties and youre the keeper. i mean i payed for this game and i wanna play tennis not penalties, and then you get players like this one who make it so unpleasant

I have a friend who does this. He is non-conformist-like or likes to think 'outside the box'. I know it seems not sportsman-like, but it also is not illegal. Right? Or no? Serve left/right of center within the ad/deuce court? Life and living is about adaptation. Why don't you practice with someone who serves this way and change the strategy of your response. When you are playing the CPU/AI when the server moves farther to the right or left, the receiver moves also. Just some thoughts so you won't feel negative about this. Some folks are going to be who they've got to be. Good luck!

Its not about adaptation at all i more about the player doing it being a loser itself
You don´t see pro´s serving from the corners trying to get a better angle on the serve.
Anyway i love your positiveness about the issue but really if you play fair you´ll never serve from the corner in singles.

But SPC, if you are in an online tournament and someone is doing this, what choice do you have but to adapt? If what they were doing was illegal then Manu would probably do something about it. I would think anyway. The person may be a "loser" in your mind, but he is also the next step to another round, or the final in the game. Would you quit the game if you could win by dealing with this person? Outsmarting them? I wouldn't. It IS MORE about adaptation in this sense. Thanks for the comment about being positive. That's part of it. I was thinking about being logical mostly.
