Unrealistic return and short angle

Postby NOLE.LUCKY » 22 Jun 2012, 14:43

I get returns @ over 145 kmph against my serves that are over 200 kmph and the player is a PB, not a counter. WTF? And how in hell does a player get time to actually RUN to return serves that fast ? This is even when the player is standing in the middle of the court, like the game positions. In reality, its only a split step and BOOM. They only run/take a few steps maybe to return slice serves. Talking of slice serves, where have you seen 200 kmph slice serves being hit? Yeah, only in the fair mode.
And the fast short angle is being ABUSED like anything.
Players above 1m85 have practically no advantage. They're slow as hell and accelerations are not deep.
And you want to make the game real. Ha

Two things:
A PB with 100% counter is able to HALF-VOLLEY deep hard shots (above 145 kmph) and return it with decent power (130-133 kmph), so I am just finished with my shot and the ball is already returned so fast. A counter should be able to do that, but not a PB i think. Taking a ball early is a different thing, but half-volley... I'll attach a .dmo soon.
Make the players push off faster. That might help with the speed grievances.

I wish tourneys are being played in realistic mode. Even I didn't play this game for couple of years, I see bashers are still doing the best in this game. They kill my varied play :P

Realistic mode sucks...it plays about the same and equally boring as Fair Mode if not worse (tested today)...Elite controls are actually quite nice 8-) Not like we get now...50 winners and 20 errors...who hits that in real life? 1 match in 100...Elite controls mimic the actual real life tennis much better...

Have to second that, realistic mode fixes nothing, elite is much better.
