Hello all and Manu,

This has been an issue,which was talked and dragged about for ages,sorry to be a bit of a drama queen here,but I can't stand it anymore - for real.

Just some 5 min ago i played a person (low ELO),who started serving from the far side,i aksed him not to do that and then he instantly blocked the chat and continued.
I didnt want to waste my nerves and time with him and i decided to play some more points and if he didnt stop it,i would retire.
Alike stories have been going on for so much time and i finally decided to post a topic.
When i went to the menus to give myself a break i saw that i only had 20 sec.
Then i just retired.And lost 80 points.Now,as much as i don't care about ELO,the point is,that it works as a representative tool for other players to choose or decline your game.I definetaly don't want to lose the points that i have worked hard for,simply because,there are ***** out there,who simply won't play a game without being a bitch.
Right now,the rules of ELO,Penalty and so on benefit only those unfair players.They can control the match and play around as they wish without any actual downside for them.When a player is pissed with them and he wants to retire,(for some damn good reason) he has to lose ELO.
I am trying to climb the ladder of this game,as anyone else,but i need to play with the best in order to have a chance.They simply won't accept my game,because i have less of a 2000 ELO....And why is that....because i wanted to play a match with someone,who turned out to be a dick.

Personaly i prefer to be able to reitre from those kind of matches,with the thought in my head,that someone else can retire from our match once he sees that he has no chance against me ; at least this way,the 'good' players get the opportunity no to be jerked around by some kids.

Players,Manu,please consider everything posted,answer if u feel like it,suggestions are more than appreciated.

well i dun think anyone rejects people with 1800 1900 elo Enjoy this game and don't worry about elo ..i lose about 200 elo one day and gain 300 elo next day

no, no penalty, I didn't retire. The game just froze and I got -592 elo

so far, more people have complained about quitters than about getting the ELO penalty (except when it seems buggy, which sometimes means they went into the menus instead of waiting in the game).
I'm not sure how much the ELO penalty helps to lower the number of quitters, but I think I'll still keep it.
And if you don't get it too often (less than 5% of your matches), then the consequences of it are negligible, due to the way the ELO system works.

This elo sometimes is crazy i lost today about 85 points cause i retired when my opponent doesnt want to play - i cant wait for him whole day and he got + 25 and i lost 85 - crazy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
