Tennischampion,
your quotes from old posts are cocky... ;)
But I put all other of ur stuff & people answering it in another thread, thanks to not pollute this one too much...

Judaism, (AKA Richou)
It's nice to see you writing a few lines without insanity nor insults...
I think now, there are only 2 big differences in gameplay compared to last Feb:
1- more inertia in the players' movements (but not when playing online with a Delay bigger than 100ms) ; I think this is pretty much more realistic, and comparing the game with some real life match should make u realize that
2- the doubles partner making a bit more faults ; he also plays better, so all in all, it's not that bad ; I don't play much doubles (and only did 2 sets online), so I'm not the best one to judge, but unfortunately, I got almost no detailed reports apart from the "make it same than before" ones, so I can't decide any change for now (and no, removing some of the improvements done to make it same than before isn't an option)

And of course, if you care to detail more why u preferred the Feb's gameplay, u're welcome to do so, but with another account, as I'm banning this one as well... Can't wait to see the new funny name u'll use for ur email... ;) (I'm only 98% sure u're Richou, so in the case we're in the 2% where I'm wrong, I'm sorry, but it'll give you the occasion to create a more decent email address anyway... )

K Z,
just because they don't know any other tennis game online .

I'm not sure what is your point, but you wrote in a decent way with real facts, so that's quite of progress...
So I'm not sure what to answer either, but just to tell u : I'm not making much money from 250 people playing online, especially when 60% (70% ? 80% ?) use the demo version... So you can imagine there's a bunch more people who buy the game to play the World Tour.
Also, playing the online tournaments doesn't mean these people know better than the other ones about tennis. It just means they like competition against other human players. It means they can provide good advices to ameliorate this competition. It doesn't mean they can provide better advices about making the game more realist, or funnier against the CPU, 2 things for me which are more important than the online mode (/!\ it doesn't mean I think the online mode is not important ; it's one of the parts I spent most time working on during the past 2 or 3 years).
And lastly, a good amount of people prefer to write email than writing in the forum, so you'll never know about them.

but wtf is BlackyMF talking abt , did anyone ask him ?

I don't recall that it's required to be asked before have the right to write an opinion in the forum... So please a tone down.
And different posts showing the same opinion is still better than just 1, especially when it brings another point of view.

Blacky,
yup, all opinions are welcome (as long as they're a bit civilized ;) ), so as yours.
You are kind a stubborn

Yes I am, and you're glad I am, even if you don't know it... ;)
If I was changing the game right away every time someone wanted so, the result would be pretty messy & ugly to look at right now.
But as you mentioned, in the long run, I'm pretty open to all suggestions. I don't have much doubt that it's the best way to go.

I told you about desy it took you a month before you actually believed that and change it.

I think you really misunderstood what happened. You can re-read the thread (here topic5-3534.php ), but I don't think I had any sign of incredulity. I tried to figure out what was going on and get some clean state to be sure it was not related to modding or install issue. All I got was a pretty blank sound (except for the "nice" Ero's interruption). I spent a lot of time to try to find this bug. Re-read my post earlier in this topic for other details...

About updates, it didn't have any during Wimbledon this year. And since a bit more than 1 year, I try to do them the week before the start of the Slams. Unfortunately, when I'm late, it's released during the 1st week of the Slam (and yup, I can't wait the end of it to release the new version).

As I see it, tournaments brought you many people, and now those people are turning against you because you dont pay much attention to them.

Like I said to KZ, no, they don't bring me much people. I like them though, I think it's cool, and if tennis wasn't my work, I'd be probably playing them during my leisure time.
Oh, and 3 (maybe 4?) people proffering profanities are hardly many people. Re-read the comments on the update around May or June 2008 (if my memory doesn't fail) when "all" people were saying they hated the new update & were going to stop to play TE... That was the good old time... :P

About the update frequency... I try to lower it as much as I can (at beginning of TE2006, I could do 3 updates per week), but I'm kinda hurry guy : when an annoying bug is found, I have to fix it & publish an update ASAP. But often, on-going changes, usually coming from people requests, are published as well, as all are bound together. But hopefully, we now reached a point where updates will be way more sparse... (this answers Mr.Schmith's as well)

All I want is to game to get better, with cool people and some order.

I'm glad we have the same goal, and frankly, I'm not sure what someone could do with my sympathy anyway... ':D

Mr.Schmith,
I don't expect people to be friendly (being nice can't hurt though), and I understand they can be upset when something they liked in the game changes ; I just want them to show some basic respect to my work & my dedication to the game, as well as my commitment to answer most of questions/comments, and also respect other people here.
