Hi Manutoo!
Now im getting an error when im trying to create a host, it says something like, "make sure you have de UDP port 4321 open".
And the IP that detects me, starts from 82 and ends with 0. Is this normal?

HeadHunter,
your IP ends with 0 but starts with 83, so if it's the one detected, then it's normal.
Apparently, the Connection Test started to failed last night, when you got this new IP, so it's not linked to today's update, and I'm not sure what's wrong on your side.

HeadHunter,
update to today's version, then host & do the connection test ; once you'll have gotten its result, send me a Bug Report. (HowTo =>

I just played an online set with someone on Mac. We were able to play but the ball was teleporting a bit and the animations were eclectic, sometimes the ball would disappear right after hitting it.

JiJo,
sometimes the ball would disappear right after hitting it

And it didn't reappear till the next point ?

No no, it disappears for a fraction of a second, and sometimes the ball just deviates from its trajectory for a fraction of a second as well, and then it's fine for the rest of the point.

JiJo,
thanks for the video !
And this is absolutely terrible..!

For the opponent, I'll look into it. But the thing really bad is for the player controlled by MOHD : it looks like the prediction fails for him, while it should never fail. And not only it fails, but it fails big time ! For example, he aims to the right line, and we see the ball starting to go the center before being teleported to the right..! (ie: it's not a 1 or 2 frame error, but a lot more) Or the ball passes him and then he hits it, and all that with horrible animation deformation on the way...

Does it happen to you as well when you play with a big delay ?

This stuff only happens when I try to play with mohd, like in the video (167ms delay).

I've just played my first games, and I'm quite mixed overall.
First of all, it seems harmless, but it can simply lead to the game stopping: I can't leave the chat during the game, and I really tried all the keys. Like many people, my default key is "escape", but it doesn't work at all (I remind you that I play on Mac).
As for the gameplay, it was still quite enjoyable (even if I lost after losing to a player who had a very good level). There are points where there is construction, it's good, sometimes very nice points. But, there are also points that I don't like at all in an online game. Finally, it is especially the accumulation of these points. I'm going to put an end to the suspense, I want to talk first of all about the services, which are quite exaggerated. Already, I strongly dislike the fact that we are playing with players who have 100% overall in the main features. The faster it goes, the less it encourages point building, to the point of becoming frustrating, whether it's me who wins the point or my opponent. At one point I came to the end of the set with just over 2 trades on average.
In fact, I came to the same problems that I was denouncing before (my famous acceleration moves too present), but worse because in solo I tended to adapt all this to make me like it more, even if it means being "nicer" on purpose, which obviously can't be the case online. I think the whole problem comes from the features. You end up with some pretty surprising features where, as I said just before, the main features are 100%. We regularly find ourselves with services that go at 220 km/h, sometimes with demonic effects. I'm not even talking about the number of winning returns. Why not impose a limit in these features, around 80 / 85%, to end up with something much nicer, which could leave us a capital of points for other features that would allow us to vary the styles of play. Even my opponent, although he had a lot of fun, was quite in agreement that the features were a bit too much.
Mind you, I still had a lot of fun, it's obvious, because the game itself remains with a very good physique. But there's also a lot of frustration, whether I win or lose.
It's worth noting that I was convinced that I could play on a modded court, believing that the player opposite would have an equivalent court on the screen, as long as it's the same surface. I thought that this choice would be made afterwards, but in fact it's up to me to select before hosting a game. Can we play on a modded court if it is identical ? Another question: I'm used to playing in 3 sets of tiebreaks, which is exactly what happened to me for my online games. Is it a coincidence, or does this parameter also depend on me?
Either way, thank you Manutoo for adding this online mode. Even if, as I said, I'm a bit mixed, I had a great time online.
PS : I've had a few freezes and slowdowns sometimes quite disturbing, but it's still very playable on the whole.

JiJo,
both bugs (opponent prediction & our player prediction, including teleporting ball) should be fixed in today's build. However, I'm not sure it's the case because I cannot test all that easily, so if you could try and let me know how it goes...
Adriatino,
1) I did a little change for the next update so hopefully the Escape key will work on MacOS when chatting online (it already worked on Windows so I'm not sure why it didn't on Mac)
2) After, you should play with the Fair Mode, or possibly the Realistic Mode ; the former limits are 60%-70% the latter limit is 90% =>
https://www.managames.com/tennis/doc/Te ... SkillModes .
3) On your second serves, vary your spin, this will change the ideal depth position to return, making it harder to produce fast returns for your opponent. (I still plan to check more in-depth the 1st & 2nd serve balance vs the return)

Wow, I had forgotten my message, so I’m very very late to answer...
I didn’t have the opportunity to play another match Online, but I remember that the match was with the Fair Mode. But, after all, I’m beginning to appreciate more and more the Gameplay because I do a lot of matches with the Realistic Mode in the Training Club, so it would be nice with the Fair Mode when I will have another opportunity to play Online.
By the way, it’s probably a very stupid question, but is it possible to play with the Realistic mode in Career / Season ? (Yes, there is no link with Online section but it’s a good occasion to ask this question).
For the last part of your answer : Yes, I try to do this, but it’s difficult to avoid a winning shot. But I was again a very good player, so maybe I was unlucky in this case :p
