Anna Kournikova,
usually, this is a problem with Windows firewall. Delete all entries related to Tennis Elbow in it, then it should re-ask about authorizing it.

Hi Manutoo - I did this but nothing. I even accessed my router to open all ports... nothing. :s

I even turned off my firewall and connected directly to the internet rather than though the router and it still doesn't let me host. I wonder what I did differently the other day? I know I downloaded the update... maybe I'll try uninstalling and then reinstalling

OK I'm hosting games again, not sure how or why... but I seem to be able to do it downstairs on wifi ... but not upstairs on wifi lol.

There is no reasonable explanation but I'll go with it!

This is the problem with network configuration, it's often behaving kinda erratically... :fear:

This may or may not help people - but I changed my port to use to the UPnP port which is the universal plug and play port within my router. It worked straight away.

Hello,

I've been having problems with hosting online games, too. I shut down my firewall and set the UDP port 4321 on my router (ASUS WL-520GC) - but still it keeps telling me that my computer is not reachable when I host... here is the printscreen of my settings of router, not sure if it's set correctly, if anyone not as noobish as me can look at it, it would be highly appreciated ;)

Sukuth,
it seems ok (i'm not big router specialist though :fear: ).
Maybe try to enable the DMZ mode ; it would be like opening & forwarding all your ports, so be sure to have ur software firewall correctly running...

Nope, didn't work, unfortunately :\ you see, I don't wanna start playing online tournaments until I solve this problem - it might happen that my opponent won''t be able to host a match as well and we would be unable to proceed into the match :\ so the UDP port didn't work and DMZ mode neither.. any other ideas anyone, please? :(

portforward.com, check for your router, click on "skip this ad", then "default's guide" and follow the instructions given there.

that's why I said "skip on this ad" (top right corner if you don't see it), you don't need to buy anything.
