Request for consideration when hosting games

Postby CC » 22 Feb 2010, 00:13

Guys (and gals),

Would you all consider, when hosting games and naming players, that you may unintentially offend someone. As an example, personally, it hurts me to see players using names like CrystalMeth and Acid. I'm not faulting any person as I don't know who uses these names and don't have anything against them. They have a right to choose these names as long as no rules are violated; I'm just asking for consideration of this request. I'm not trying to judge anyone or to police the games.

Thanks,

CC

Well actually i agree with CC. Most of the players are between 13-15, so some of then are still children. I once saw i guy with the nickname "A.I.D.S" perhaps it was supposed to be ment something else but still, i think when a person has aids or if someone in your family has aids or whatsoever kind of desease, it might hurt your feelings! so yes there should be a rule for normal nicknames...

(sorry for my english i hope you guys get the point.)

Hello,

CC,I would like to point out that my username in the game (Acid) and my username in the forum (AcidSpot) have some long history.
Even my e-mail is called acid_spot for some funny reason actually...there was a period of my life when i literally felt like a acid spot a.k.a. something bad that is stuck for example on your shirt and simply won't come off.
Of course,no need to explain that my username has nothing to do with drugs and i'm not trying to offend anyone.I think for the 2 years here i proved that i am a 'nice' guy.

Cheers
