lobs are getting too worse.i mean a well timed lob(100% in stats) with b2 button is always(around 90%) goes outside playing at the net and even at the baselne lobs are not working so well.atleast power baseliners shud get such an advantage and volleying is just bad for baseliners,i mean they dont move at the net at all and their lobs coming at the net sucks.so how can a baseliner win points coming at the net and now-a-days many guys are volleyers and they r just overwhelming to punchers and baseliners, they virtually do dropshots everytime and make s come at the net and win by volleying, there is no chance for a baseliner to hit a winner(only 5% i believe lol)

Looool  Baseliners are just fine as it is. Stop complaining :D Most of the people in the game are STILL baseliners :P I guess you could mix it up a bit by going to the net, and you'll be fine against defenders if you're good :D I tried playing Serve & Volley vs RS yesterday with my doubles stats and 200 cm and I just couldn't get chances to break, it was tough to reach the net on time when he's serving as he kept attacking right after the serve...It was alright on my serve, but he still could break me once in each set to win  Albeit, it was my first match after 2 months so perhaps I could change a few things and get this style of play to work :)

@Tog: Yeah, but surely his style is still "power baseliner"? He just mixes it up in his own gameplay, I'd imagine. I'm not sure, you tell me, I haven't played Davey in singles since like ages ago :D

lol movement at the baseline sucks if u have 200cm height, ofcourse it may be useful at the net.but volley is always risky when u keep power baseliner and i think u lost break to RS becos of that

Champion, I was a "volleyer" vs RS...but I was slow at the baseline and it was tough to get into his service games...And what Viktor tried seems interesting, I might try that...cuz PBs are definitely faster than volleyers.

yes tennischampion it seems that even i was faster when i played with a 200cm person rather then the usual 170cm but it might help that when i played with the 200cm person i had to reduce my stamina

What Vanessa said about lobs,is 100% true...even with high % lob, players risk too much. It's funny how on a normal, not powerful and very well placed shot i try lob with high lob stat and it just goes out.Moving and lobbing-not gonna happen. When u wanna be good against the better players, you cant have like 70% on shots in terms to have high drop shot, volleys or lob, though if u are volleyer u dont need really high volley stats.

I don't think defenders are not benefitet that much at all.Yes,we all have big time challange against Tog or Voja, but c'mon..there arent much good defenders, there aren't much defenders at all.And bare in mind that if u wanna be successful defender it is vital to move so well.Do you think Tog gets all the bonus just cause he's a defender style? U need to run your ass off to pull it through and lets face it-its not easy to move well when u have a good power baseliner against you.We all know timing is so important in this game.

Volleyers have become sort of an issue too,but i personally didnt have problems with them.I played Tati and somethimes i managed the ball good.Of course i lost, but it didnt seem that it was so difficult.U win some u lose some.

I find its almost impossible to pass a player who is at the net. Or is it because I'm just crap? :p

Buld 45 just made it worse now you can't even hit a decent lob anymore if someone at the net even if you have high lob stats. The game is really starting to lean to just being a serve and volley game which is the total different from what real tennis is.

I can pass the CPU and Opponents online just fine. I just remember to try to get them off balance and therefore i usually try to hit a short acceleration shot cross court and most of the time it gets them off balance and i can hit the winner.

if u complain about lob then its just not usefull cause u arent soposed to pass every time with the lob i dont even use it almost to pass just to open up my passing games + about the 200 cm u have better reach so should make up for the acceleration

In general I think the game would be a whole lot better online if the gameplay was streamlined more...topspin, dropshots, lobs(baseline lobs mostly) and volleys all need some major nerfing. All of them can be exploited in a way that is unrealistic and also potentially make for extraordinarily boring gameplay. The game imo should have a core gameplay that is of quite fast pace and aggressive for all players(like in real tennis, in order to prevent boredom and all sorts of ridiculous tricks, like hitting a dropshot and rushing the net each point), and each player could specialize in style of their choosing, be it spin, volleys, varied. However this specialization would not strand so dramatically from the core average gameplay as it does now. For example a spin player would get a minor defensive advantage compared to the average player or they could get some more spin to get a decent(still keeping the shape of the core gameplay though, not altering it a lot) advantage, however their attacking abilities would be cut a lot in return. Same with volleys etc. In the current game this is not enough the case.
I think these changes would make the game less frustrating and confusing online because it's simpler, more realistic and most importantly more fun.

Totally agree !
TE was more realistic in its first builds , then many changes appeared and the game is just not realistic and not fun at all :|
