Best place for beginners?

Postby fatehasfans » 04 Jul 2015, 21:58

Hi,
I just recently bought the game after playing the demo - I've got the jist of the controls and can play well against the computer - though my serve isn't very good. This led me to try and play online and boy was it a shock, I had 3 games and everyone I played against were insane. I got aced off the court over and over and their accuracy and speed of the shots was almost robotic. But they also felt faster and stronger than me, I was using powershot (I think) but that seemed soft compared to what was coming back - these people were hitting the line over and over with insanely hard shots I simply couldn't compete. So this leads me to ask a question, is there a tutorial or video that helps players like me learn to get better? Also, what are the best settings for online play? I don't really know what the different modes are 'Fair/Realistic/Arcade' etc I thought Fair mode reduced all the stats to around 50% which I had hoped to make things a little easier but my opponents were still running around like they were on steroids and hitting the ball like The Hulk!

Any help is seriously welcome as my third game I put up a "Beginner" label on my hosted game and again I got smashed by a 'Junior' - any help on timing or serving would be great.

Thanks a lot!

It's all about movement...when you learn to move efficiently you will significatly improve your shots precision and speed
