I dont understand how some players post a ping of 150 or below...........but as you begin to play.......the game goes into some kind of slow motion mode. This isnt like lag..........its like you are playing underwater. Sometimes I even look at the ping and it is not high at all. Ive been playing people with pings BELOW 100 and this still occurs. The older versions of this game were not like that at all, ........and if players have found a way to slow the game.........then why bother playing them at all. From here on out.........this player will immediately quit. I can play others with no problem.........but there are a handful who; everytime you play them; slow motion.

I doubt people are purposely making matches slow with lag. Pings aren't the only thing that determine a good connection.

As for "slow motion", that's an anti-lag feature. It's definitely made 150+ ping matches with people across the globe much more tolerable.

150+? Now I can play with people that I have 300+ ping with and the matches don't take forever.

Togtdyalttai, I guess Leena just got confused between the ping & the lag... ( lag = ping / 2)

Also Guest, the slowness can be due to 2 things :
- ur opponent has DirectX 8 and not the 9 or 10 (unlikely)
- the auto-lag can be wrongly calculated, if the time to go from his PC to ur PC is not the same than going from ur PC to his PC ; in such, case, u have to manually select the lag, to a value a bit higher than the autolag, when starting the game

There are a few who play in free mode all the time.........no problem..........but when they play in fair mode is when it happens ...........
