Mana Games

this is a very strange bug that keeps on happening to me. every time I play online, mostly the first match that I start, the game just stops and connection freezes on 15:15, or during the first two points. it seems it has nothing to do with the connection speed, as it happens every single time... there is nothing I can do, but either me or my oponent have to just quit the game.
any thoughts?

it may be because of your router ; some routers don't provide a constant outside port when set on automatic forwarding. If the outside port change, TE can't communicate anymore and then the game hangs. Configure your router manually to see if it helps or not.

looks like that it is the problem with the router, however, I have no idea how to configure it any other way. I have manually entered the settings, as pictured below.

Maybe you can try to set "End port" bigger then "Start port", try 4500. But I am not sure.

If I'm not wrong, that would open all ports from 4321 to 4500 so he rather not do that.

Had you manually configured your router before and it was happening anyway or did you just changed it?
If you just configured it now, let him know if that fixed it. I basically just posted because I did know that Shone's suggestion is a security risk so I chimed in

tried this too, things remain the same. the game gets stuck

well, i've tried everything, and it happens even more often now. it is litterally unplayable. would it be any good to have my ISP replace the modem, or will this keep on happening??

if you get another model, it may help, but if you get the exact same model, I guess it won't change anything...
