High delay problem with attacking players

Postby The Joker » 06 May 2014, 19:52

guys , Recently , i have met this crucial problems when i face any agressive guy in high delay .......the high delay problem:
I dont mean specific names at all....
I have no problem to face any defensive guy in high delays ( i mean i notice no difference from facing them in low delays ) , but when i face agressive guys , i find some problems .. sometimes when i am attacking and making a clear winner down the line or cross court and opponent is so far of it .. i think its a winner .. or in worst case : opponent will return it as slice .. but i am surprised to see them returning it as accelerations or even short angles.... the prob of that is that the mechanism of their bodies doesnt even allow them ... i find suddenly something as secret arms or secret racquets appearing suddenly and shooting the ball after the opponent was running to try to just barely put raquet in it ... deceived 1000 times by this and i just wanna know if someone else suffer from or notice this ... i just cant explain the phenomenon well bec its more watchable than expressable
one other problem is powerless balls... my style depends than i run to ball and shoot it on the run ... (i.e i am not available in the place the ball will be in before it is shot) ... actually when i do this in high delays .. i return many powerless balls (i.e balls in medium of opponent court with no power) and to deal with this ,,, i think i need to be a guesser and i am never a good one ... also wanna know if someone faced that :)

You release button too early and your player do a safe shot. Especially at delays above 200ms you have to keep button pressed a little bit longer.

Kind regards,

That's why high delay matches are pointless.

>150 sucks, >= 200 is pathetic.

That thing you described has been there for years...I guess the opponents also see you reaching unreachable balls :whistle:

the thing u couldnt imagine ... that those opponents are always playing at that delay in all tours vs 99% of their opponents... so they got used to that.... but for me just 2% of my matches are in that delay .. so i never used to that

Sure, that's why delays over 150 should not even be played...If ping is over 300 ms (up to 150 delay) the match shouldnt be played :lol:
