when playing against pc, i can easilly win points free on my 2nd serve with topspin serve, this is not fun.

could you post a .dmo of that issue ?

Its defo not too easy to win points on 2nd serve with topspin or slice. 2nd serves are always getting punished no matter what the opponent is ranked

it's still the case with last release when i play training vs CPU : lot of aces or winning serves with B2+down serve

I agree with the potro. Topspin serve is too devastating. When I hit strong first serves and low top spin 2nd serve in some matches I win more points on the second than on the first serve !

he's mentionning playing against CPU. I agree i noticed this a long time ago already. When triggering a good crossed kick second serve, the cpu is often in trouble, even at high difficulty level (master10/incredible+). I barely get any hard returns doing this, i get one sometimes, but it feels somewhat safer than hitting a flat first serve. Sometimes the cpu doesn't even catches it, some aces then, and pretty often you get some exploitable weak return; on the opposite, at this levels, the cpu returns very well flat b1+b2's, and i can see much more return winners from these.

Yesterday I startet a new career at master 10 Level, rank 1000 (180 Points at the beginning, Service skills around 15%). I've played some future qualification matches on clay and I've found out a potent strategy to hold serve against much stronger opponents: Hit the first serve into the nuts and do a second serve with full Topspin (b2+down) into the corners. This way I produce about 8 aces per set, while there is no Chance for me to hit any ace with a flat first serve! It's not very motivating to be successful with such a silly strategy!
Imo a powerful flat serve should be slightly more, the Topspin second serve much less effective on clay. BUT please avoid to make the flat serve more effective on grass Courts. In my previous career I hit 52 first serve aces in a five set match against Pete Sampras at master 8 Level in Wimbledon. That's enough, I think.

Today I beat Christian Villagran in 2 sets in a future qualification match on clay and I hit 23 second serve aces! Manutoo, please do something against this. I regard it as a real bug. I've been playing TE for 1 1/2 years now and I LOVE your amazing game because of its great level of realism. But the effect of topspin 2nd serve is ridiculous, especially on clay!

the pb of the CPU is that it stands to close to the baseline on 2nd serve. With top spin on serve the rebound is too high and the cpu makes a lot of errors on return

I unfortunately don't know how to post a .dmo file. However I just wanted to say that I completely agree with what was previously said. The topspin 2nd serve was already very powerful against the CPU in previous releases (I always got at least 65% on 2nd serve against master or incredible CPU whereas I had about 50% on first serve). But since version 1.0c, I think it has become a lot worse. Half of my top spin 2nd serves are aces, except on grass.

It is ONLY a problem with the AI though ; with a human opponent it makes no difference to hit a slice or topspin 2nd serve.
