are you lowering player speed using MtRun ? If so, you should raise it back a bit.

Stajus,
jump speed is more determined by speed & net presence skills than by the jump bonus depending of style (except for the volleyer where it's equivalent of 100% in both skills).
I could replace the jump speed bonus by a ball difficulty modifier during the jump, but that would be harder for me to tune it effectively, and harder for the players to feel how the bonus works. So I think the current mechanism is nice enough while not creating anything utterly unrealistic (ie: nothing like over speedy players).

plz manutoo don't make every day verision plz

Funny you ignored the other four points about counters directly ;) Btw, jump bonuses between styles are significant when playing, so I'd check my own theory if I were you

My last post here as I am getting bored of talking to blind people

I guess that means my problem has fully stomped you. And... why do I have to be the one to take the class lol why can't you. But I guess I just have to enjoy playing online by joining people game seeing that my router and network don't want to play nice with the game.

I didn't change Defender's acceleration.
Defenders are same than other styles, except with less free accelerations & no jump bonus at net, but with enhanced topspin strikes.

Manutoo, the enhanced topspin strikes are really nothing to add to the defender“s style. Afterall you can vary the spin yourself. Me as a defender that uses very little spin to the ball can tell you how i feel.

You talk about less free accelerations, but with the update its basically impossible to find deep shots with this style, they rarely happen, i can tell you that i found myself running around the court, with no chance to turn a point into my favor and being in the receiving end of winners 90% of the time.

You probably turned a Hingis like style into a Wozniacki

That being said i changed the style (away from defender) and things are back to normal more or less. :bounce:

Manu, actually I even raised the CPU acceleration speed a bit, and kept MaxSpeed as default. But even when I put it back to normal speed, the CPU slices like never before when on the run from side to side. Build 80 was the last build that I didn't see this in. CPU used to hit slice just once in a while, but not practically all the time when on the run. But in Builds 81 and 82, the CPU just slices and slices in this situation. Even when I try to RAISE its speed. But if I raise it too much, it is unrealistic. So I now keep it at normal default, and still the CPU slices and slices. :(

Brad1981,
doh, you were right, the CPU was in a slice frenzy...
I didn't teach him how to calculate the new acceleration, so he was way off most of time. So now, I did that right, and he's even better than before to calculate how much time he needs to reach the ball..! But it means the slice choice was still changed, so I had to tune it ; let me know if too much or too little slice.
