SC Tom
Full version = Demo + your Key.
Patch is only for pep not wanting to download the demo, and who already installed the Demo v1.0d (not the patch).

Vojatenis & adner,
since a while now, I'm working on removing the utterly unrealistic positioning strategy developed online by a bunch of players. The most terrible example of these exploits is the returner standing in the middle of the court & running to the side on serve start.
It's not the way real tennis works, and it's not the way I want my game to work.
And I do little changes by little changes, every time I find something which is not realistic, till it won't be possible anymore to do positioning exploit.
The Realistic Mode + Tiredness On were a good step in that direction, but pep didn't want to change to these settings...
And the Elite mode might be also a solution to your current complains.
Also I might give a lil raise to the topspin bonus to the Defender style in the next Build, to compensate his loss... ;)

Hey Manu...

Yeah, that's exactlywhat I was describing about the serve pronations....good job!!! :D
However, Fed's prep before the serve seems a bit stiff...something about his rocking motion...
I'll have to study some videos and get back to you...

Well manutoo this is especially for you, how volleyers get just too much advantage on any version on this game so far. No matter what kind of return or passing shot i managed, it wasn't ever good enough. Good exemple as well for the topic of how raising the serve speed make volleyers even more op, i think that was the 2-2* game, where i had my only bp, and he served i think 3 times in a row around 215km/h...just uncatchable...and desperate because i'm not gonna try to clip net in order to fluke a cheap point.
Hope u'll have a comment under this.

Florian,
ok, I watched your .dmo, and it looks like the 2m tall player covers 95% of the net. So I think I'm going to lower down the jump speed for tall players (and for all styles), which will be actually in accordance to the run acceleration bonus/handicap already existing.
BTW, at 2/2, you didn't get aced on the 3 good serves he did, just you didn't have the chance to do a good return...

In real tennis, it's tough to return serves. You have already lowered speed and going to lower the jump at the net, so to make this game realistic, make it difficult to return gud serves and impossible to hit 150 kmh shots from a defensive position.. I don't find it fair to see some styles destroyed and some perfect...

well i'm aware that the only times i ve been able to annoy his s&vs were when i got a really lucky return fast and down his feet (without even trying the short accel return), and that's a really random return because it's not something you can control or do on purpose when you're early enough on the ball...so it's mostly all about luck or you can pray for a df of his in the tb... Thanks for watching anyway.

Actually if you lower the net jump, you'll have to lower the return abilities of counters too...it isn't fair to have to stay back and watch them fluke deep return after deep return ;) Also, when Novak Djokovic takes the ball early and returns deep he is never able to hit winners in 1-2 shots after that...more like he gets back into the points and maybe has a slight advantage...in this game currently, when I hit a very deep bash the counter players are able to counter it from their feet and get a ridiculous advantage straight away...this isn't right and should be removed or you can reduce the speed (and/or precision) of these "off the feet" shots that they are able to hit ;)...Move back to hit the ball properly or pay the price...it's simple...

I hate the new version. The gameplay changed drastically and I just can't adjust to it. In my opinion there shouldn't be such big changes in the game. One day you are playing relaxed and having a great match with amazing rallies and suddenly the movement and the way of hitting the balls are completely different.
I have been playing for a long time (around 3 years I think) and I considered the gameplay excellent until the last update. I think the updates should include esthetic improvements, new types of shots, ways of making the game more interesting for people who are addicted (like me), not drastic changes affecting the gameplay that made us addicted in the first place.
