Indeed, CPU plays drop shots all the time  . I just tried the 2hbh and it seems a pretty bad shot still...to me anyways

Manu

Is there a way to download a previous build?
If so, I'd like to install build #43 in a separate folder...because I like the volleying jumps when playing against the CPU and I feel like it's pretty realistic...(maybe not so realistic for on-line play)

Okay it seems like my shots are not getting close to the baselines anymore at all. I have like a foot in between them can someone tell me whats wrong. Right now I have 0 topspin, 100% in everything backhand and forehand is there something i have to cahgne to get shots to hit the baseline like before or get close and not be about 2-6 inches away from it?

@Everybody:
- Net Jump : the explanation was a bit short, so here a longer one ; the new time limit before the jump can occur is from the moment the ball is hit by your opponent ; in most cases, even with 0% in Net Presence, that doesn't change anything ; if u stick to the net and your opponent is a bit after the baseline, it needs around 0.5s (s = second) for the ball to reach u on a acceleration ; if you're just a bit more far of the net, it'll be 0.65s. So mainly, the jump will now trigger too late for net vs net fights, and when your opponent hits a very strong passing from well inside the baseline when your net presence is too low

- Drop Shot : I guess Brad1981 got busy, coz he didn't answer me ; so I'd need anyone with this problem to send me a .dmo so I could see how to fix it

kaarsten braasch, use the alternate download link from toogame.free.fr .

btaylor, no, cannot get the previous build, but as stated above, you shouldn't feel anything different if your net presence is high, except in some rare cases.

Guest, you have to install the game after have downloaded it... ;)

DegrasMan, shots are not supposed to land on baseline ; if you did in the past, it's coz u were hitting in bad position...

Now I'm havign the problem that everytime i close the game everything disappears and I have to continue to load my players and everything. When i first come back into the game it says palyer 0 and have 0 for everything and no player there at all. It even changes all my controls, camera angles and other things.

DegrasMan, if u use a custom Profile, u might have to delete it (or replace its .ini by the Tennis.ini) ; if u use the default, reinstalling the game should fix the problem...

About the dropshots: indeed, the CPU (in World Tour) is using it a lot more in the first rallies of a match. I think it wasn't previously the case. But afterwards, it doesn't do it as often. I tried to adjust the tactics: if you stand at the baseline and step back (because you expect a powerful long shot) you have a very high probability to get dropped shot (it was the case with build 43). So sometimes I just step a little back to provoke the drop shot and immediately go forwards and either I am ready to counter the drop shot or ... well, I get a long acceleration for my punishment but that's the game, and if the AI is smarter than I ... :notworthy:

When I exit my games now the match score returns to 0-0.

Very frustrating as I was in the middle of a good game and when I came back to it the score had reset.

Here is a .dmo from which you may see that the CPU player in World Tour hits drop shots much more with this build than with the previous one:
2010-02-07.11-21 - CC vs J.Zwe 1-6 0-0.dmo

I would have thought that I was playing Andy Murray instead of Joao Zwetsch.

Two problems: the CPU doing millions of drops shots, and the fact that result is back to 0-0 when you exit the game.
I couldn't test if that old problem that happened when taking control of player 2 in World Tour is fixed.

There is an issue with this build and the loading of saved World Tour "games." Actually, I sometimes restore a World Tour "point" or "progress" rather than a game; what I mean is that sometimes after having finished a match, I may create a restore point for World Tour so that if I don't do well in the next match, I can load that restore point and be back to where I was before that match. Well, this isn't working now with games I saved before the update. I loaded a restore point to put me back to where I should be if Joao Zwetsch and I had not yet played; the problem is that when I click to start the next match, my opponent is now Jae-Sik Kim. So, this isn't right. Also, prior restore points that I load, say maybe after the first set of a match, aren't working; instead of resuming the match, the score for all is 0 (as if no games had been played). Maybe my World Tour is a mess now; I was hoping to progress through it normally. I don't know what to do.
