Follow up: something is definitely off.
Deleted the exception so it would prompt me to add it back, and it didn't.

it's mostly for TEM2, to avoid possible compatibility issues. And I'm only a bit more than 10 years late to update to DirectX 9... ':D
TE4 will use another engine.

Algo,
did you install the patch over the Steam version ? It's only for the MG version. Also, if you try the demo of TE2013, it's normal to switch back to [Fake].
I can get my name without issue here, no [Fake].

Everybdoy,
as no one reported any error once the game is running (ie: when it's not Modded nor the Steam version ':D ), I guess it means it's working correctly..?

Everything should be identical in term of visual, but it should help when your GPU drivers don't handle DX8 well. It should also help for some video capture programs that require DX9.

EDIT:
I just updated the Steam version, so if you use it, you'll be testing the DX9 Engine no matter what... :blackeye:

Hello MANUTOO.
I did the last update 1.0h but my game patched "ATP 2016 'does not work
more..
While older updates until the 1.0g version works.
My game is patched in the file "Mods"
The only replaced file to the root of the game is the "Profiles" file

Why that?

The game will not launch.
I could raise my game Version 1.0g because I had made a copy.
Too bad because I like to always have the latest version.

the game stops without any error message..? Could you post your System.log ..?

EDIT:
1 issue I found out with the old Sam Megapatch is that DX9 can load bigger textures than DX8, leading to more memory use.
But actually in Sam Megapatch a lot of the textures are way too big, so maybe you have the same issue..? Check the size of your textures and lower their size if they are too big (eg: court textures shouldn't be more than 2048x1024 ; icons for menu = 512x512 max, etc..).
You easily can see all texture sizes by choosing "Details" in the Windows Explorer, and right clicking the column to add "Dimensions".

Hey Manutoo

What you described is exactly whats happening to me on SAMS patch, can you walk me through step by step on changing the textures? It keeps saying I am exceeding memory so I am assuming this is the issue!

I forget, i tried with TE2013 (non Steam version) , i think it has itst mod only, i dont remember cause i have it installed it long time ago, and it works fine, at least offline, didnt tried online.
Ill tried later the Steam version :)
