Hello,
has anyone ever beaten Lleyton Hewitt in the 2001 season? I've just finished the year at the top of the ranking after playing a 76-14 record and winning 9 titles. In that very season, I played Hewitt twice, beeing blown away 0:6,1:6,1:6 at the French Open and 1:6,0:6 at the Masters Finals. I can hardly imagine how to beat him, because he runs down literaly EVERY shot and hits winners from any Position on the court himself. Please answer, if you have a clou how to beat this reincarnation of speedy gonzales!

6You need to use more slices! Try to hit slices to his backhand and rush the net as soon as you can. It's almost impossible to beat him while standing at the back of the court. Also, I always return services from WAY inside the baseline and slice them, then rush the net. I defeated him at the Aussie Open, 2:6, 7:5, 6:2, 6:0 (on Incredible 2 level!). Good luck!

I'll have to try that, prime Hewitt's ridiculously tough off the ground. It's interesting though, because in real life Hewitt loved playing against the serve-and-volleyers (see his '01 US Open final v Sampras).

Thank you very much for your reply. Beating him at incredible2 is VERY impressive! I play at master10 and - as you know - am far away from beating him. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if I'm able to implement your strategy, because I play as a power baseliner with very low net skills. But I try to do my very best.
Another question: Do you play a created player or a chosen one? I'm playing a career with a created player, and the sum of my skill points is around 1350. It would reassure me a bit, if your player was significantly stronger than mine...
