why does my skill level keep dropping?

I am playing on normal difficult. By the middle of my second year, my total skill has reached 1098, but since that time it has almost steadily dropped and now stands at a mere 1018. Basically, if I miss more than one week of play, I lose more points than I gain, so I have to play almost every week to retain my skill level. . .which is not very realistic. "Last year," I ended up playing 26 tournaments, won 5 of them, won 68% of my matches and my skill level still dropped. Is this normal? Even on normal difficulty, it has not been easy to play players with 1280+ skill levels when you only have less than 1050 yourself. I am sure there is a cheat for this to increase your skill level, but I am still wondering if that's the way its supposed to be without cheating.

Hello,

this is normal ; your player can't have 100% in all skills ; the higher the difficulty level is, the lower your skills will be. You can either slightly lower the difficulty level, or change the training & skill rules => topic15-16788.php .

Thanks, I knew that you cannot get 100% skills - I was only wondering why I cannot even stay in the 70s. I'll change the training and skill rules.

That's the problem! Why is it normal to lose so much skill whenever your player is producing quality results. What happens is that your player continues to get worse and the XP barely replaces the points that you lost. What's the purpose for that?

SDAWG,
it forces you to not play every week and think a bit ahead about your training periods.

That's understandable but sometimes important events are scheduled close together (Indian Wells and Miami) & (Madrid, Roland Garros, and The Championships) and in those instances its nearly impossible to recover the skill points lost playing the previous tournament, so you come into the next event at a disadvantage but I guess in some ways that's more realistic. Are the computer players stats affected this way?

SDAWG,
CPU skills are stable through the year.

This could be a silly question, but do CPU skills change from year to year? Because wouldn't that mean the same players finish near the top of the rankings every year if they have the same skills, like Top Spin 4?

Miqar_Baqfhied,
CPU skills change every year to accord their ranking goal that year.

I thought so. Thanks.

The gameplay in this game is so incredibly realistic. You've done an amazing job, especially considering you don't have the resources of big game developers. The gameplay in this game is many, many times better and more realistic than many high end games out there.

I wish you were interested enough in cricket to make a great game for that sport. There is nothing out there for cricket that stands up close to the realistic gameplay that is seen in tennis elbow.
