Question about the 3d camera

Hi Manuto,

1- I have a question about the 3d camera and a suggestion for the next build.
My question is, why is the camera following the player a little later ? in previous version the camera was locked into the player. This is a problem when you play a game with higher then 100 ms, the camera comes too late. Is it fixable ?

2- So with the new zoom function, the 3d camera is very nice now. However in my opinion 1 thing is missing:

When you play with 3d or subjective camera, the player sometimes looks at the ball.
For example; when the ball passes the player it will look at it and chase it (and so will the camera) untill the ball passed. Now this is very good, but while in a rallie the player just looks infront of him the whole time.
My suggestion is, why not setting up that the player watches the ball constantly? I mean thats what we all do when we play tennis, we look at the balls position constantly instead of looking foreward 180°the whole time lol. So is there a way to create such an option?
Maybe you could make an option (for 3d and subjective camera only off course) like "Focus Ball" "on or off" because maybe some players would not like this.
This would be ultimate badass!

Tnx

Hello,

1- it wasn't working before as well ; it worked without delay only offline ; it's now corrected with the latest SubBuild

2- that would either make the control axis not matching the camera axis, or the control axis not matching the court line axis ; in both cases, that'd be confusing...

Hi tnx for the reply:

1. ?t did work but then you created some patch for laggers so it would be possible to play against them, thats when this laggy camera came.
2. I have no clue what you are talking about, but it would still work, because it is allready is in the game. Yes, the camera followes the ball if it goes out of screen just like I wanted (even when the player bounces the ball before serve, camera goes up and down), but the sensitivity is too little, it just turns a little bit. Maybe you could create an option for the sensitivity of the camera so it turns even more ?

1. that was more than 1 year & half ago... ;)

2. try the subjective camera ; it rotates a bit more often ; and try to imagine what you'd feel if it was rotating all the time, especially on the controls
