Autopos change should be applied to service return too, it's a bit unbalanced this way.

Heinrich von Westphalen,
I had forgotten to specify that, but when standing at the net, you'll sill get the autopos triggering when pressing the button early ; volleying is hard enough like this.

Algo,
AutoPos is meant to be used to help you center the ball into your racket, not show you where to go, so there's still plenty of time for its normal use.

Note: it looks like I fell into the twilight zone ; I just published an update with a somewhat significant gameplay change, and I got 0 whining, only good feedback, what crazy stuff is going to happen next ?!? I'm scared !! :fear:

Hhahahaha, Seems so. For me there is no much difference than before. But i feel that everyone is thinking like "oh this update is great, now top players won't be able to play so good" which shouldn't be the point, I mean i feel that everyone is giving his opinion according to how this will affect on top players, not on himself. Have a good day Manutoo and keep it up.

Maybe for MG Tour Setting where I see many players serving on average at 107mph for 1st Serves -- so using that AutoPosition trick (and knowing about the Danger Zone Preview) makes it quite comfortable for experienced TE players to return. In fact, trying MG Tour settings myself I've always been more comfortable in return games than service games.

For other settings (where players can hit 140mph serves ;)) and to allow beginners to get into some rallies I see no problem with it this way.

“AUTOPO” made the game more various, now it will be reset to the situation before you remap the baseline skills to 70% instead of 100%??? and the baseline skills have the dominent position again. I prefer to tell every player this skill but not cancel it.

Autpos didn't go anywhere ;) it is still there. It just now it is not triggering early as before, making the game more Variable, not less. As now, anticipation and reaction skills are needed to stay in rallies, as opposed to simple observation skill of your player making a step into the right direction.

"It just now it is not triggering early as before"???yes it's a more proper expression?but i don't think “reaction skill” SHOULD be the most important skill, we need tactics. If you want to show your reaction skill, you can simply go for FREE MODE?at which service, drop shot, smash...can be all 100%, or REALISTI?MODE, at which we need better baseline skills.

Now forhand power is slightly better than the backhand, but it may not enough. I suggest that forhand+backhand power to be remap to 35% to 135%, then you can choose "forhand 75% with backhand 60%" or "forhand 90% with backhand 45%".

I stand corrected regarding my concern about service return, thanks djarvik!

I had only played around in the warm-up mode which doesn't have any serving.

Haha, it is rare to see on a forum! The community for this game though seems to be very polite based on the fair play of online opponents and that's probably due to the kind of audience that a realistic simulation type game tends to appeals to.

I think a lot of people really felt that autopos was an unreal feature of the game, same as the short slice

It's almost like autopos doesn't exist, because you don't have time to actually use it now. Elias wins

Eheh, actually you owe this one to VMoe, and Manutoo of course :)
I'm glad to see such a change though. The way it was working this feature could be exploited in a wrong way.
Manutoo did great about it and was fast to deal with, welcome in the Twillight Zone
