according to your own opinion, who are the women who could be #1 in the future, and didn't reach this rank so far...?
Give me about 5 names per answer..!

Really, I can only see Ivanovic, and maybe Vaidisova or Jankovic as #1's, but in terms of potential future top 1-5 theses are a few.

There are so many other talented youngsters, but it seems so difficult to predict them as #1...
In terms of some potentially top players could be Mirza, Pironkova, and Zvonereva, but they would need to improve various parts of their games tremendously.

Manutoo, your list is good, but don't go based on votes alone. Peer seems much more promising than Radwanska, even if she did beat Sharapova at the Open. And Krajicek seems to have more potential then Cornet in my opinion. Just remember, some people will simply post players they want to become #1, even if there are others who seem more likely to be.

From top players both Kuznetsova and Jankovic could take it if Justine didn't stay fit, and also Ivanovic. In a few years I think that Vaidisova, Golovin and Peer will be serious contenders

From the youngsters I would pick Paszek and also Michelle Larcher de Brito (1993)

I know it's been a while since the last post in this thread, but...

it's so funny to see that in the mean time both Ivanovic and Jankovic have made it to that top spot.

Also now, one year later, I think that Wozniacki has been underrated; she's a number one of the future generation.

Everyone's talking about Michelle Larcher de Brito, but for me that's still a case of "let's see first."

I don't see players like Azarenka and Cornet reaching the top 10, and if they do they'll do it Bartoli-ishly - so not higher than 9 or so.

Cibulkova is definitely going to be a good top 10 player, top 5 even, but I think she'll have difficulty reaching the number 1 spot due to her height.

Szavay needs to improve, but she's definitely a top 10 player in two years time. As of now, I don't see her as a future number one yet.

Paszek is overrated, as are Peer, Chakvetadze and definitely Vaidisova - she may have won 6 tournaments, but those were all kid's play compared to Grand Slams and such.

Radwanska relies on the opponent's game to score, so she won't be number one either.

Golovin is too prone to injuries to be a consistent top 10 player, the same goes for Na Li and Vera Zvonareva - unfortunately for them, they have the talent and game to be up there.

Casey Dellacqua, Sania Mirza, Marina Erakovic, and I'd say Bethanie Mattek as well have the potential to at least be top 20 players. Perhaps Aleksandra Wozniak as well.

And so since there is an update coming up... (:P), is it possible for manutoo to edit the ranking stats for these people? I mean, I have played a career up till 2019 or so and I have never seen Caroline Wozniacki in the top rankings, while I do think she'll be there. Instead, I have seen unknown names that have no cold blood at all and that were therefore easy to beat. It would be nice to have a bit more competition towards the final years.

(And yes, I know we can manually change the year end rankings, but I really would not know how to do that and yes I HAVE read how I SHOULD do that. )

I think it's possible to evaluate the potential of each teenage player. You forgot Urszula Radwanska and Pavlyuchenkova. I follow junior circuit and I think it's possible to create some players born in the mid-90's for a better realistic game between 2010 and 2015. But it will be difficult. Three years ago, who could know that Jankovic will become a number one?
